Trading commenced around $3.93 with an initial push to $4.00 before declining to an intraday low of $3.65.

At the close of the trading day, LIT was changing hands near $3.77, representing approximately a 4.2% decrease.

This correction follows a rapid appreciation earlier in September that saw LIT surge past $5.30 before encountering resistance from profit-takers.

Nevertheless, the broader chart structure continues to respect an ascending trend line that has been intact since May.

This uptrend originated around $0.80 and has consistently formed higher lows throughout the summer months.

Technical indicators signal weakening momentum

LIT continues to trade above a crucial support band between $2.50 and $2.80, an area that previously served as resistance during August before September’s breakout occurred.

This region may function as support once again should the ongoing correction extend further.

Looking upward, bulls must first recapture the $4 threshold, followed by the $4.50 to $5.00 range as subsequent resistance levels.

The previous peak between $5.30 and $5.50 represents the major resistance barrier on the chart moving forward.

The Relative Strength Index has declined to 38.39 after maintaining readings above 60 throughout most of September.

This positions the RSI beneath the neutral 50 threshold, although it remains distant from the oversold territory at 30.

The MACD indicator has also shifted downward, with the MACD line at approximately 0.085, crossing below the signal line at 0.253.

Corporate developments maintain spotlight on Lighter

This price decline occurred shortly after Bitwise unveiled the Lighter Staking ETP on Deutsche Börse Xetra, which follows the Kaiko Lighter Reference Rate.

Robinhood Wallet currently enables qualified users to access perpetual futures trading via Lighter in designated markets excluding the United States.

Robinhood recently announced plans to introduce perpetual futures trading to qualified US customers as part of its broader active trading initiative.

Cryptocurrency analyst Axel Bitblaze commented on X that the sell-off appeared to be an excessive response to Robinhood’s announcement.

He noted that Robinhood’s US perpetual futures initiative is reportedly connected to Bitstamp, while Bitstamp currently operates EU perpetuals alongside Lighter’s distinct Wallet integration in alternative jurisdictions.

Bitblaze emphasized that Robinhood’s Wallet documentation continues to identify Lighter as the exchange facilitating those transactions, with no official confirmation of any partnership termination.

Robinhood Europe offers LIT for direct trading and publicly acknowledges a financial investment in Lighter from its Series B funding round.

LIT is currently navigating its most significant retracement since the September rally initiated, with price action maintaining support above its established long-term trend line.
