The XRP Ledger has already proven its ability to support tokenized assets at scale. The upcoming xrpld 3.3.0 release takes that foundation further.

Five amendments are set to activate following validator approval, each targeting a specific gap in how institutions and developers interact with the network.

Software engineer Vincent Van Code (@vincent_vancode) called the timing “impeccable,” noting that major changes are due on XRPL next week. Once validators update, voting begins.

Privacy Gets a Native Solution

Confidential MPT brings native privacy to Multi-Purpose Tokens on XRPL. It combines zero-knowledge proofs with elliptic-curve encryption. Issuers and token holders can keep balances and transfer amounts private on a public ledger.

Designated parties, such as auditors or regulators, retain the ability to verify transaction details when required. For financial institutions, privacy has long been a prerequisite for engaging with public blockchain infrastructure.

Atomic Execution Across Accounts

The Batch amendment enables up to eight transactions across different accounts to execute atomically in a single ledger. Every transaction succeeds, or none do. This removes trust assumptions from multi-step workflows.

It also enables delivery-versus-payment and atomic settlement, where both sides of a transaction execute together or not at all.

Institutional Access Controls

Permission Delegation allows institutions to delegate narrowly scoped transaction permissions without transferring full signing authority. Treasury teams can retain custody of issuance keys while authorizing trading desks or operational teams to perform specific actions within defined limits. This separation of duties meets a common requirement for institutional operations.

Removing the XRP Onboarding Barrier

Sponsored Fees and Reserves allows a sponsor, such as a bank, issuer, or platform, to pay XRP transaction fees and account reserves on behalf of another account. Users continue to own their accounts and keys.

One of the biggest onboarding hurdles has been the requirement for every participant to acquire and manage XRP before interacting with the network. This amendment removes that barrier for both institutions and consumer-facing applications.

Flexible Token Configuration

Once a Multi-Purpose Token is issued today, its configuration is effectively fixed. Dynamic MPT changes that. Issuers can define at issuance exactly which properties may be updated over time, including transfer fees, metadata, or new capabilities. Adapting to changing business needs or regulatory requirements no longer requires a full token migration.

Validator Approval Begins the Process

The release is anticipated for next week. These amendments will only activate following validator approval. The community is excited, and many see this new list of amendments as game-changers.

Each of these five amendments addresses a concrete operational requirement. Together, they move XRPL significantly closer to supporting the full lifecycle of tokenized assets at a global scale.
