Midnight's NIGHT token is set to list on OKCoinJapan (@OKCoinJapan) on October 13, giving Japanese investors a second domestic venue to trade the asset. The Cardano (@Cardano) linked privacy network (@MidnightNtwrk) announced the move as it builds its presence in the country.
The OKCoinJapan listing follows NIGHT's August debut on S.BLOX (@sblox_official), a Sony Group company. S.BLOX said it was the first domestic crypto asset exchange operator in Japan to handle NIGHT as of August 24, 2026. OKJ is operated by OKCoin Japan K.K. and is registered in Japan as a crypto-asset exchange under registration No. 00020.
OKCoinJapan is part of a larger group. It is the Japan branch of OK Group, a global cryptocurrency exchange conglomerate that includes OKX and OKCoin. Midnight said OKJ expands access to NIGHT in one of the world's most established digital asset markets.
The token has reacted to the news. NIGHT rebounded from a dip to $0.0407, rising 11% to around $0.049 after the OKCoin Japan announcement , according to Pluang. Prices can move quickly around listing announcements, and gains are not guaranteed to hold once trading begins.
Mainnet progress and Cardano activity
Midnight has also made progress on the technical side. Its mainnet recently enabled permissionless smart contract deployment. Midnight is linked to the Cardano ecosystem and separates NIGHT's utility and governance functions from DUST, the resource used to process transactions on the network.
The developments come as activity on Cardano picks up. Cardano has roughly 27,500 daily active ADA addresses, over 540,000 transactions settled in a single day, and cumulative mainnet transactions above 125 million. ADA rose 6.47% to $0.244 in 24 hours, while Midnight climbed 9% to $0.049 , based on figures cited by Bitbase.
The S.BLOX listing was seen as significant because of Japan's regulatory environment. CoinMarketCap noted that Japan's Financial Services Agency maintains strict token listing standards, especially for privacy related assets. A second registered venue adds to the regulated access points available to local users.
One detail remains unclear. The launch hour for the OKJ listing was not confirmed. Traders should check OKCoinJapan's official channels for exact trading times.
