NEAR Protocol fell approximately 4.3% over 24 hours on November 1, slipping toward $4.32 as the cryptocurrency struggled to maintain its recovery from October's sharp market selloff.
The decline comes just days after NEAR plunged more than 14% on October 29, dropping from approximately $4.73 to $4.06 in a single session. Although buyers subsequently pushed prices above $4.40, the latest weakness has renewed questions about whether the token can stabilize before attempting another move toward $5.
According to NearStats market data, NEAR's market capitalization stood near $5.7 billion, with approximately $448 million in daily trading volume. The token was also down nearly 8% over 30 days, despite retaining substantial gains over the previous three months.
NEAR Price Falls Despite Stronger Network Adoption
NEAR's latest decline contrasts with its earlier October performance, when the cryptocurrency doubled in one month and significantly outperformed Bitcoin.
The previous rally brought NEAR close to $5.90 before broader cryptocurrency weakness triggered a correction. That leaves the token well below its recent highs, even as its underlying ecosystem continues expanding.
One important development is NEAR's growing relationship with tokenized financial assets.
In September, NEAR introduced access to tokenized U.S. stocks and ETFs through Ondo Finance, allowing eligible users to trade stock-linked assets using cryptocurrency from more than 30 supported blockchains.
The integration builds on the network's existing cross-chain infrastructure, which connects assets such as Bitcoin, XRP and Dogecoin through NEAR Intents.
However, expanding network activity does not automatically create equivalent demand for NEAR tokens.
NEAR Price Prediction: Can Buyers Defend $4.30?
NEAR's immediate technical challenge is maintaining support around $4.30, close to its recent trading range following October's sharp decline.
If buyers successfully defend that level, the first upside obstacle emerges around $4.50, followed by resistance near $4.70–$4.80.
A sustained breakout above $4.80 would improve the short-term outlook and potentially reopen the path toward $5, a psychological level that previously attracted substantial trading activity.
Further gains could eventually bring $5.40 into focus, although that would require stronger buying momentum.
On the downside, failure to hold $4.30 would shift attention toward $4.05–$4.10, near the October 29 closing area.
The more important lower reference is approximately $3.90, corresponding to the October 30 intraday low. Breaking below that level could expose the $3.70–$3.80 region as a potential next downside target.
Could NEAR's AI and Tokenization Strategy Support a Recovery?
Beyond technical levels, NEAR's longer-term outlook increasingly depends on its artificial intelligence and financial infrastructure ambitions.
The project launched NEAR Business on October 20, introducing confidential treasury management and cross-chain payments for crypto-native organizations.
NEAR also has an institutional investment angle. Grayscale previously filed to convert its NEAR Trust into an exchange-traded fund, although a filing alone does not establish final approval.
Institutional sentiment toward NEAR has not always been positive. BitMEX co-founder Arthur Hayes previously exited his NEAR holdings, citing broader macroeconomic and market risks.
Meanwhile, competing interoperability projects such as LayerZero are developing their own approaches to connecting liquidity across blockchains.
