NEAR Protocol ($NEAR) has reported strong cross-chain activity through @near_intents and rolled out several products in recent weeks, as @NEARProtocol pushes further into cross-chain payments and tools for crypto businesses.

Q3 Volume and Network Activity

NEAR Intents, the protocol's cross-chain transaction layer, processed about $10.4 billion in volume in the third quarter of 2026, according to Nansen's NEAR Q3 2026 report. The same report said the network handled roughly 68 million transactions over the quarter, averaging about 739,000 per day.

Nansen also found that the near.com front end handled around $2.57 billion of Q3 Intents volume, or roughly a quarter of the total. Cumulative fees from Intents have passed $52 million, and more than $8 million of that has been directed to NEAR token buybacks, Cryptonomist reported. The outlet noted that the fee and buyback figures are cumulative, not limited to Q3.

Confidential Intents, a privacy-focused feature, ended the quarter with total value locked of about $160 million, up 463% from the previous quarter, per the same report.

NEAR Business and Recent Product Launches

On October 20, NEAR introduced NEAR Business, a confidential multisig treasury for crypto teams. According to TokenPost, the service supports at least 35 blockchains and lets teams pay staff and vendors, move assets between networks, set approval rules and export records for accounting and audits. Treasury roles and approval votes are visible onchain, while the underlying transaction details stay confidential.

The product runs on NEAR Intents' cross-chain infrastructure. There is no subscription or per-user fee, NEAR covers network fees for the first 1,000 actions each month, and swaps carry a 0.35% fee, TokenPost said. Access is initially limited to invited teams.

NEAR's recent activity has also included a move onto Solana via @sunrise, with $NEAR trading on Jupiter and Raydium and NEAR Intents handling transfers between chains. Grayscale also highlighted NEAR's cross-chain infrastructure for AI agent payments, and NEAR opened private pre-IPO trading on Jio, India's largest mobile network, with up to 5x leverage ahead of its stock market debut. These items are drawn from NEAR ecosystem announcements and were not independently confirmed for this article.

Analysts note that the next indicators to watch are whether Intents can sustain its volume and how much revenue the protocol retains, as reported by Altcoin Buzz. $NEAR was trading at $4.05, up 5.7% over 24 hours, at the time of writing.
