Pi Network says the CiDi Games beta app on Pi Browser pulled in more than 81,000 users within its first week, with over 1.2 million game sessions recorded across 160 regions. The platform is a portfolio company of Pi Network Ventures, which made a direct investment in CiDi Games as part of a broader push to expand real-world utility for the $PI token.
The partnership between Pi Network and CiDi Games was announced in November 2025 and was designed, according to Pi Network's official blog, to "expand the real-world utility of Pi and further expand and support gaming in the ecosystem." Pi Network Ventures backed the deal to give the collaboration additional development resources and signal that gaming is a long-term strategic priority for the network.
The beta runs entirely inside Pi Browser, with no downloads or app store installations required. Users simply open the browser, tap once, and begin playing. The no-friction approach appears to be driving rapid early adoption, with CiDi Games climbing to the number three position on Pi Browser ecosystem rankings just four days after its launch, with over 2 million Pi already staked by users on the platform.
The beta launched with 10 instant-access HTML5 games playable directly through Pi Browser without any additional setup. Alongside the game library, CiDi introduced skill-based tournaments, where players compete on ability rather than chance, as well as developer tools designed to help third-party studios integrate Pi payments and build on the ecosystem.
A key part of the platform is the Pi ELF companion system. Each Pioneer receives a unique, permanently bound digital companion described by CiDi as a native Pi ecosystem identity, representing a user's history and activity on the network. The team has also teased a future shared virtual environment called Elf Continent.
The early engagement figures are notable in a sector where many Web3 gaming projects have struggled to convert curiosity into sustained usage. With tens of millions of Pioneers already active on Pi Network, CiDi has a built-in distribution advantage that most Web3 gaming studios lack.
