Pi Network (@PiCoreTeam) $PI has released four updates aimed at developers and third-party businesses building on its platform. The changes cover the Developer Portal, Pi BlockExplorer, SoloHost and PiVerify, and arrive ahead of the project's first Ecosystem Summit, scheduled for November 17-19.

What Pi Network Changed for Developers

The redesigned Developer Portal brings key application settings into a dedicated App Configuration section, according to CryptoPotato. Developers can manage domains, API keys, app wallets and privacy information in one place, and navigation to services such as Pi Sign-In, PiNet and the Ad Network has been simplified.

The Pi BlockExplorer now displays historical prices for Launchpad Testnet tokens. Pi's developer platform blog says the feature lets users see how tokens such as SLICE change in price relative to Test-Pi over time, and that it can be viewed without a Pi Browser or a Pi account. TokenPost notes that these Launchpad Testnet tokens will never move to Mainnet, and that price tracking for future Mainnet tokens is planned once that functionality is released.

SoloHost, the framework that lets users run self-hosted applications from their own computers, has gained an AI-assisted packaging skill. According to CryptoPotato, the skill sits in the public SoloHost GitHub repository and lets developers use AI coding assistants such as Claude Code, Cursor or Codex to prepare apps for publication through Pi Desktop. TokenPost reports that developers can give a compatible AI assistant an app's public Docker image to start the process.

PiVerify, the identity-verification service for outside businesses, has also been extended. Pi's developer blog says it now includes face uniqueness checks, which help businesses identify potentially duplicate identities, and multiple liveness checks, which let businesses request additional verification after a user's initial identity check. The service builds on capabilities already used in Pi's KYC system.

Context Ahead of the Ecosystem Summit

The packaging feature follows Pi Desktop version 0.6.4, which removed the need to configure a home router for remote access to supported SoloHost apps, according to a CoinDesk report relayed by KuCoin News. The core team said the new releases reduce barriers to building on Pi, expand utility for Pioneers and support preparations for the summit.

The summit is intended to encourage more builders to develop on Pi, and to give Pioneers a chance to discover more applications and utilities across the ecosystem.

Market data has not moved sharply on the news. TokenPost reported that PI was down 13.77% over 30 days in an early Friday snapshot on OKX, while up 1.28% over seven days. TokenPost added that these figures cover different periods and do not show whether the product changes affected demand.
