In a bid to expand access to its real-world asset ecosystem to capital markets, Plume Network, a Layer-1 blockchain for tangible asset tokenization, today entered into a strategic partnership with Bybit, a recognized cryptocurrency exchange. According to the announcement made today, this collaboration enabled Plume to launch its institutional fixed income vaults on Bybit, aiming to allow crypto users to benefit from innovative onchain yields.
Plume Network functions as a layer-1 blockchain infrastructure with expertise in tokenizing real-world assets (RWAs), such as real estate, equities, commodities, and many others, turning them into profitable digital assets in the DeFi world. Through its L1 blockchain, Plume offers an infrastructure required to tokenize, manage, and trade RWAs directly on-chain, providing an ecosystem where traditional financial assets meet with DeFi in an efficient, transparent, and secure manner.
Plume Unlocks Tokenized Yields with Bybit
With the partnership above, Plume taps into Bybit’s large global customer pool (based on the fact that Bybit is one of the largest cryptocurrency exchanges by trading volume), bringing a new category of RWA products to the exchange’s crypto users worldwide. Through the integration, Plume launched its new institutional fixed-income vaults on Bybit to enable institutional crypto customers to access tokenized yields associated with such products. As per the announcement, the integration of these institutional fixed-income products packaged as tokenized real-world asset products on Bybit’s custody and credit services creates a unified access gateway for institutional customers to access yields without leaving Bybit’s crypto ecosystem.
For institutional customers who already have exposure through Bybit’s institutional custody services, Plume’s vaults create an efficient avenue for them to access fixed-income yields without the need to engage in separate relationships with traditional prime brokers.
Driving Growth with RWA and Crypto Accessibility
By combining their respective networks, both Plume and Bybit are laying the foundation for new untaped area in crypto trading. The integration gives institutional investors the ability to invest in tokenized versions of traditional fixed-income products alongside crypto instruments; this allows them to unlock greater monetary value, creating an interoperable, innovative, and rewarding financial ecosystem.
