APEPE Surges 21% in 24 Hours
Ape and Pepe (@apepeofficial) has jumped 21% over the past 24 hours, pushing its market cap toward approximately $325 million. The move adds to a string of volatile price swings for the token, which has drawn attention from retail traders looking for exposure to the broader memecoin sector.
CoinGecko ranks APEPE around No. 141 by market capitalization, with all 210 trillion tokens in circulation. Despite the latest rally, the token remains well below its all-time high of $0.056888, trading roughly 77% beneath that peak.
What Is Ape and Pepe?
Launched in June 2023 on the Polygon (@0xPolygon) blockchain, APEPE combines two of crypto's most recognisable meme identities: the "Ape" culture associated with retail trading enthusiasm and the Pepe frog meme lineage. The result is a community-driven token that positions itself as a rallying point for small investors.
The project runs on Polygon's layer-2 infrastructure, which offers low transaction fees and fast settlement times, making it accessible for small-scale retail participation. Its total supply is fixed at 210 trillion tokens, all of which are currently circulating.
Like most memecoins, APEPE carries no formal utility roadmap. Its price is driven primarily by community sentiment, social media momentum, and broader conditions across the memecoin sector.
