XRP’s presence in the U.S. investment-product market is growing, as new regulatory filings show both a standard ProShares XRP ETF series and the company’s existing leveraged XRP fund now included within the ProShares Trust structure.

ProShares’ expanding product lineup

A recent filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission lists the ProShares XRP ETF as Series S000091571 and the ProShares Ultra XRP ETF as Series S000091573. While this development does not indicate fresh SEC approval for a new spot XRP ETF, it does demonstrate that XRP is becoming more integrated within major U.S. fund complexes like ProShares Trust.

ProShares, known for its broad portfolio of exchange-traded funds, already operates a leveraged XRP product. The Ultra XRP ETF, trading under the ticker UXRP, launched in July 2025 and uses derivatives to target twice the daily performance of XRP.

According to ProShares, the Ultra XRP ETF had approximately $50 million in net assets by late August, highlighting growing investor interest. The product amplifies the daily returns of XRP using futures and other derivatives, rather than holding the underlying token.

Mini dictionary: ProShares Trust, one of the largest U.S. exchange-traded fund providers, manages a suite of funds designed to offer exposure to various asset classes using traditional and alternative financial instruments, such as derivatives.

Because the leverage resets on a daily basis, the product’s long-term returns can differ significantly compared to simply doubling XRP’s price movement over time, especially when market volatility increases.

Broadened market access and institutional appetite

SEC records had already shown UXRP as an existing fund series earlier in 2025, with a July filing listing both the fund name and ticker. The latest filing is noteworthy not for introducing new leveraged exposure but for expanding the range of investment wrappers available for XRP.

Institutional demand for XRP products continues to rise. U.S. spot XRP ETFs recently pushed combined net inflows to a record $1.55 billion, following the strongest week in more than three months. Coinpaper reported another $39.78 million entered these products during that period.

Strong inflows supported a surge in XRP’s price, with the token gaining over 40% in seven days driven by ETF buying and active Korean spot market participation.

XRP now offers investors a range of exposures, from spot ETFs and futures-based funds to leveraged ETFs, enabling traditional market participants to access the asset without direct token ownership.

This evolution represents a significant shift for XRP, an asset originally designed for payments. Additionally, guides produced by Coinpaper continue to highlight XRP’s primary role within the XRP Ledger, emphasizing its focus on rapid settlement capabilities.

The updated ProShares registration suggests further maturation of the U.S. XRP ETF market, rather than a single regulatory breakthrough.
