@PythNetwork has introduced post-market price feeds for Pyth Pro covering four major South Korean stocks, extending the hours during which on-chain price data for Korean equities is available.

The protocol is providing price benchmarks for @Samsung Electronics, @SKHynix, @Hyundai Motor and Samsung Electro-Mechanics. Coinfomania reported that the four stocks are now live on Pyth Pro, with an effective date of October 21, 2026.

Extended hours to 20:00 KST

The new feeds add four hours of on-chain market data, taking coverage to 20:00 KST. They are designed to cover live pricing from the close of the Seoul exchange session to the start of the European trading day.

The Korea Exchange's regular session runs from 9:00 am to 3:30 pm on trading days, according to Wikipedia's entry on the exchange. That leaves a gap between the Korean close and the opening of European markets, during which reliable price references can be harder to find. The post-market feeds are meant to fill part of that gap for applications that rely on up-to-date pricing.

Pyth Pro will also cover 18 Korea-traded stock feeds in this window. These include the KODEX 200 ETF, a fund that, according to MarketScreener, aims to replicate the performance of the KOSPI 200 index.

Why the timing matters

The launch comes as Korean chip stocks have been moving sharply. Seoul Economic Daily reported that on October 21 the KOSPI rose 3.29% to 5,735.66, with Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix each gaining more than 5% on strong AI server earnings. The previous session was weak: UPI reported that the KOSPI fell 3.73% on October 20 as foreign and institutional investors sold heavily.

In volatile conditions like these, price movements after the Korean close can matter to traders and developers building on-chain products tied to Korean equities. Extended-hours data gives them a benchmark beyond the local session. Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix are among the largest names on the KOSPI, which makes them natural early additions to the post-market offering.

Pyth Network is an oracle protocol that delivers market data to blockchain applications. The Korean post-market feeds add to the range of traditional-asset data available through Pyth Pro. Details on pricing, access tiers and any further Korean listings were not specified in available reports.
