@Raydium has overtaken @Pumpfun in 24-hour decentralized trading volume, posting $192.2 million against PumpFun's $185.0 million. The gap is narrow, but the milestone carries weight given the fierce rivalry that has defined the Solana DEX landscape over the past year.
The volume lift pushed Raydium up one spot in global decentralized exchange rankings, from ninth to eighth place. For a protocol that has spent much of 2026 fighting to reclaim ground lost to PumpFun's own trading infrastructure, the move is a tangible sign of momentum.
The two protocols have been locked in a competitive back-and-forth since early 2025, when PumpFun launched PumpSwap, its own native automated market maker, cutting Raydium out of the token graduation pipeline it had previously relied on, where tokens completing their bonding curve on PumpFun migrated directly to liquidity pools on Raydium.
Raydium responded by launching LaunchLab, its own token launchpad. Cumulative trading volume on Raydium passed $1 trillion in May 2026, the same month its RAY token was listed by both Robinhood and Revolut. More recently, Raydium accounted for $805.2 million, or 80.5%, of the trading volume from xStocks-issued assets over a 30-day period , pointing to a broadening user base beyond memecoins.
Raydium is a Solana automated market maker where users can swap SPL tokens, supply liquidity, mint new coins, or take leveraged positions, and its pools hold close to $806 million in deposits, more than any other decentralized exchange on Solana.
Wednesday's 24-hour volume reading marks a fresh data point in a rivalry that shows little sign of cooling. Whether Raydium can sustain the edge over PumpFun, or extend its climb up the global DEX rankings, will depend on how both platforms compete for Solana's memecoin and broader DeFi trading flow in the weeks ahead.
