Injective gives traders onchain exposure to stocks and commodities mainly through perpetual futures markets. These markets track real prices with oracles and settle in USDC, so traders never own the underlying shares or metals. Injective also records real-world assets onchain directly. According to RWA(.)xyz, it holds about $1.06 billion in represented assets.

What Are Real-World Assets On Injective?

Real-world assets (RWAs) are traditional assets, such as stocks, gold or loans, brought onto a blockchain. Injective supports them in two ways.

Synthetic Markets Vs Tokenized Records

The first way is synthetic. A synthetic market tracks an asset's price without holding the asset. Injective's iAssets framework lets users trade price moves in gold, stocks and foreign currencies without owning them.

The second way is tokenized records. RWA(.)xyz, a data platform that tracks tokenized assets, splits these into two types:

  • Distributed assets can move freely between wallets.
  • Represented assets are recorded onchain but not freely traded.

As of September 28, RWA.xyz lists one represented asset on Injective, worth $1,060,956,793, with two holders. That matches Pineapple Financial's 2,079 mortgage records, which are worth more than $1 billion and were moved onto Injective. The records do not transfer ownership of the mortgages.

How Do Tokenized Stocks Work On Injective?

Most stock trading on Injective uses perpetual futures, or "perps."

Perpetual Futures Explained

A perpetual future is a derivative contract with no expiry date. Traders hold long or short positions as long as they post enough margin, which is collateral that covers losses.

On Injective, these contracts give leveraged exposure to stocks, commodities and forex, settled in USDC. A May report put the maximum leverage at 25x. The more leverage a trader uses, the smaller the price move needed to trigger liquidation, which closes the position automatically.

Oracles And Around-The-Clock Pricing

An oracle feeds outside data, such as a stock price, onto a blockchain. For selected U.S. stocks, Injective uses one oracle stream that updates about every two seconds. It blends pre-market, regular, after-hours and overnight prices.

Injective also runs orderbook management, matching, settlement, margin and liquidation at the protocol level. This lets new apps use the same markets without rebuilding this infrastructure.

Which Markets Can You Trade?

Injective runs 135 active RWA perpetual markets, all quoted in native USDC:

  • 111 equity markets
  • 11 foreign exchange markets
  • 9 commodity markets
  • 2 index markets
  • 2 pre-IPO markets

A pre-IPO market tracks a company that has not yet listed on an exchange. Injective's pre-IPO markets launched through a partnership with Republic in August 2025.

What Does The Latest Data Show?

Activity on Injective's RWA markets has grown through 2026.

In the 30 days to mid-September, Injective's RWA perpetual markets handled $214.9 million. By category, that was:

  • Equities: $127.3 million
  • Forex: $49 million
  • Commodities: $15.4 million
  • Pre-IPO: $15.3 million
  • Indices: $7.8 million

Monthly volume was $186.5 million in July and $209.7 million in August. August's total was 3.4 times May's. Cumulative volume has passed $5.3 billion since early 2025.

The Wider Market

As of September 28, RWA(.)xyz shows $3.14 billion in distributed tokenized stocks, up 15.51% in 30 days. Tokenized commodities stood at $5.20 billion as of September 27. Across decentralized exchanges, CryptoRank counted $365 billion in RWA perpetual volume in Q3 through September 24. That was up 32% from Q2.

Regulation And INJ Price

Injective Institutional Services is registered with the SEC as a transfer agent. Injective says this makes it the first layer-1 with an affiliated SEC-registered transfer agent. CFTC-regulated INJ futures trade on Bitnomial.

INJ closed at $7.80 on September 27. Analyst Giannis Andreou identified $15 as the first major weekly resistance level.

Conclusion

Injective supports real-world assets through synthetic perpetual markets and onchain records. It runs 135 USDC-settled RWA markets, uses a two-second oracle feed, and handles trading at the protocol level. It holds about $1.06 billion in represented RWA value and has processed more than $5.3 billion in RWA perpetual volume.
