XRP Supply Crunch Deepens as Binance Outflows Hit Record and ETFs Absorb $1.5B
XRP is showing increasingly strong signs of a supply squeeze as retail investors, whales, and institutions continue accumulating the asset. Fresh on-chain data shows Binance has recorded its highest-ever XRP exchange outflow transaction count, while US spot XRP ETFs have attracted roughly $1.5 billion in net inflows since launching last November.
Therefore, these trends point to growing conviction among investors who are moving XRP off exchanges and into long-term holdings rather than positioning for short-term trades.
According to blockchain researcher BankXRP, CryptoQuant data shows Binance's XRP outflow transaction count has reached a record high. More importantly, the surge isn't being driven solely by whales.
Withdrawals have accelerated across nearly every wallet tier, from holders with less than 1,000 XRP to high-net-worth investors moving millions of dollars' worth of tokens. Such broad participation suggests confidence in XRP's long-term outlook is strengthening across the market, even as the asset remains below its 2025 peak.
Historically, sustained exchange outflows are viewed as a bullish on-chain signal because assets transferred to private wallets are less likely to be sold immediately.
As exchange reserves decline, the pool of XRP available for trading tightens, potentially magnifying price moves if demand continues to increase.
XRP Faces Growing Supply Squeeze as ETF Demand and Global Adoption Accelerate
This tightening supply is being reinforced by consistent institutional buying. Data highlighted by Evernorth, citing SoSoValue, shows US spot XRP ETFs have accumulated approximately $1.5 billion in net inflows as of July 28, 2026.
While periodic redemptions are normal, outflows have remained relatively modest. Even one of the largest weekly withdrawal periods this year saw only about $7 million leave the funds, underscoring the strength of long-term institutional demand.
Recent filings further reinforce that trend, revealing that clients of Franklin Templeton increased their XRP ETF exposure by an additional $5.66 million, suggesting investors continue using market pullbacks to build positions rather than reduce them.
The bullish backdrop is also being supported by expanding global adoption. Hong Kong recently approved its first licensed retail XRP trading platform, broadening regulated access to the cryptocurrency across Asia and reinforcing the region's ambitions to become a leading digital asset hub.
With record exchange withdrawals reducing liquid supply, ETFs steadily absorbing available XRP, and regulated access expanding worldwide, the market is increasingly setting up for a tighter supply-demand balance.
If these trends persist alongside rising demand, XRP could be well positioned to benefit from a strengthening long-term accumulation cycle.
