Summary:

  • Ripple partnered with Notabene to integrate RLUSD into a regulated payment network supporting compliant enterprise stablecoin transactions.
  • Notabene Flow adds payment authorization, recurring payments, and automated invoicing while helping institutions satisfy compliance and transaction verification requirements.
  • Ripple’s investment supports wider institutional RLUSD adoption through Notabene’s network spanning 2,300 institutions and over 100 global jurisdictions.

Ripple has partnered with Notabene to expand Ripple USD (RLUSD) across a regulated institutional payment network. The agreement combines Ripple’s strategic investment with Notabene’s compliance infrastructure, allowing financial institutions to process stablecoin transactions with greater confidence while meeting regulatory requirements.

Under the partnership, RLUSD will integrate into Notabene Flow, the company’s business-to-business stablecoin payment platform. Additionally, both companies will explore how trusted payment authorization can complement Ripple Payments, helping institutions verify counterparties before transferring value across blockchain networks.

The collaboration also extends RLUSD’s presence across one of the world’s largest regulated digital asset payment networks. Notabene connects more than 2,300 institutions in over 100 jurisdictions and serves more than 280 customers, including banks, custodians, fintech companies, and global cryptocurrency exchanges. Its network facilitates more than $2 trillion in annualized transaction volume.

Partnership Expands RLUSD’s Enterprise Payment Capabilities

The integration strengthens RLUSD’s role within enterprise payment infrastructure by adding payment coordination and transaction authorization capabilities. Besides supporting stablecoin transfers, Notabene Flow enables recurring payments, pull payments, and automated invoicing for institutional users. Consequently, organizations can deploy stablecoin services while maintaining compliance and operational standards.

Jack McDonald, Ripple’s Senior Vice President of Stablecoin, stated that enterprise adoption depends on more than efficient settlement. He explained that institutions also require trusted identity verification, regulatory compliance, and transaction authorization before value moves. He added that Notabene’s infrastructure helps address those requirements while expanding RLUSD’s utility across regulated payment networks.

Meanwhile, Notabene’s trust network verifies counterparties and payment details before transactions begin. As a result, financial institutions can reduce operational risk while satisfying internal controls and regulatory obligations without adding unnecessary friction to payment processes.

Investment Supports Broader Institutional Stablecoin Adoption

Ripple’s investment reflects growing demand for regulated digital asset infrastructure among banks, payment providers, fintech companies, and stablecoin issuers. Moreover, increasing regulatory clarity in major jurisdictions has encouraged institutions to move beyond pilot programs and develop production-ready stablecoin payment services.

Notabene Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer Pelle Braendgaard explained that institutions have largely resolved whether to adopt stablecoins. Instead, many organizations now focus on implementing them safely within existing business operations.

He noted that combining Notabene’s regulated institutional network with Ripple’s payment ecosystem and RLUSD creates a stronger framework for compliant transactions while reaching more counterparties across global markets.

Beyond the investment, Ripple’s enterprise ecosystem will support the wider rollout of Notabene Flow to financial institutions worldwide. Additionally, Notabene expects to establish more strategic partnerships as it expands its regulated payment network and broadens enterprise access to compliant stablecoin infrastructure.

Conclusion

Ripple and Notabene have aligned their technologies to expand RLUSD across a regulated payment network serving financial institutions worldwide. Their partnership combines enterprise payment infrastructure, transaction verification, and compliance capabilities to support broader institutional adoption of regulated stablecoin payments.
