Ripple has executed another nine-figure XRP transfer. Xaif (@Xaif_Crypto), a well-known analyst, shared the details. He also attached a screenshot of the transaction, and the on-chain data reveals more than the initial movement suggests.
Details of the Transaction
Ripple sent 99,866,844 XRP, worth approximately $149.6 million, from its wallet to a destination address tagged with Destination Tag 681503328. The transaction occurred on October 6 and settled successfully on the ledger at 4:18 PM UTC. The transaction cost just 0.000015 XRP.
Before the transfer, the destination wallet held 38,196.4 tokens. After it, the balance rose to 99,905,040.611845 XRP.
Where the Funds Went
The destination wallet is not a cold storage address sitting idle. Whale Alert flagged the same movement. The tracker logged it as a transfer from Ripple to an unknown wallet. Tracing the wallet’s activation history on the XRP Ledger links the destination address to Binance.
The funds didn’t stop there either. The wallet subsequently moved the XRP to a second Binance-linked wallet. Both wallets connect to Binance through their on-chain activation records.
The Pattern Around It
Whale Alert captured three additional transfers around the same period, each moving approximately 99,865,845 XRP. Two of those newer transactions were movements between wallets already linked to Binance. The oldest transfer in the series is the one Xaif highlighted, where the original send came directly from Ripple’s labeled wallet.
These transactions occurred less than a day after another 100 million XRP transfer involving Ripple. The post drew opinions. Several users took a measured view. One commenter described the transfer as a move, not a sale, and noted that “unknown” is a classification label rather than evidence of a market order. He added that $1.55 remains a key price level to watch.
Another user stated that the funds moved to one of Ripple’s own wallets. Transactions like these often draw criticism about Ripple dumping XRP on the community. However, these were absent at press time, and the on-chain data shows the funds moved between wallets linked to Ripple and Binance, suggesting routine fund movement.
At the time of posting, XRP traded at $1.47, down 2.35% on the day. One commenter suggested that the transaction means nothing. Another said the transfer is part of another acquisition. He urged the community members to bookmark it. Ripple has made notable acquisitions in the past few years, but no additional evidence pointing to this outcome.
