In Brief:

  • Ripple minted 10 million RLUSD on the XRP Ledger, bringing greater attention to the stablecoin’s expanding circulating supply and ecosystem.
  • RLUSD has approximately 1.711 billion tokens circulating, supported by growing trading activity and Ripple’s expanding institutional payments infrastructure across global markets.
  • Ripple expanded RLUSD into Japan and Türkiye while its Notabene partnership strengthened compliance and business payment infrastructure for institutional stablecoin adoption.

Ripple has minted another 10 million RLUSD on the XRP Ledger, adding more tokens to its growing stablecoin supply. XRPScan records show that Ripple’s official RLUSD issuer account completed the transaction on August 17.

The issuer transferred the newly minted tokens to a designated RLUSD account through a successfully confirmed XRP Ledger transaction. Moreover, the network charged only 0.000405 XRP to process the transaction.

Ripple used a two-signer multisignature setup for the transaction, providing multiple authorization requirements for the issuance. Transaction records also listed the maximum delivery amount at exactly 10 million RLUSD.

RLUSD now has approximately 1.711 billion tokens in circulation, based on CoinGecko data included in the report. Meanwhile, the stablecoin has generated roughly $58 million in trading volume over the latest 24-hour reporting period.

Its expanding supply comes as Ripple builds a broader distribution network for RLUSD across institutional payment and regulated cryptocurrency markets. The stablecoin launched in December 2024 and has since secured integrations and market access across several regions.

Ripple Expands RLUSD Across Payments and Regulated Markets

Ripple strengthened RLUSD’s institutional payment infrastructure in July through a partnership with blockchain compliance company Notabene. The agreement brought RLUSD support to Notabene Flow, a platform designed for business-to-business stablecoin payments.

Additionally, Ripple and Notabene are exploring deeper connections between their respective payment and compliance systems. Their work could connect Notabene’s transaction authorization infrastructure directly with Ripple Payments.

The partnership gives businesses another route for using RLUSD while meeting compliance requirements across supported jurisdictions. Significantly, Ripple has also expanded the stablecoin’s reach through regulated cryptocurrency platforms outside the United States.

RLUSD entered Japan in June following regulatory approval from the country’s Financial Services Agency. SBI VC Trade subsequently made the stablecoin available through its VCTRADE platform for institutional and retail customers.

SBI classified RLUSD as Japan’s first stablecoin handled under the country’s fourth category of electronic payment instruments. Consequently, the launch gave Ripple access to another regulated market for its dollar-backed stablecoin.

Ripple also expanded RLUSD availability in Türkiye during June through partnerships with BiLira, Bitexen, and Bitlo. Those partnerships opened access to RLUSD for institutions operating within the country’s digital asset ecosystem.

RLUSD Supply Growth Supports Ripple’s Wider Stablecoin Push

The latest 10-million-token mint highlights Ripple’s expanding RLUSD issuance as the stablecoin gains broader market distribution. Its circulating supply of 1.711 billion RLUSD reflects substantial growth since the asset entered the market.

Besides token issuance, Ripple has focused on building payment infrastructure and securing distribution channels across multiple regions. Regulatory approvals have also become an important part of the company’s strategy for expanding RLUSD adoption.

The XRP Ledger remains a central network for RLUSD issuance, including the latest 10 million token transaction. Ripple’s broader expansion also centers on institutional payments, compliance infrastructure, and regulated market access for the stablecoin’s growing supply.

Conclusion

Ripple’s latest mint adds 10 million RLUSD to an ecosystem that now holds roughly 1.711 billion tokens in circulation. The transaction also reinforces the XRP Ledger’s role within Ripple’s expanding stablecoin infrastructure.
