Ripple Prime Earns Multiple Hedge Week Nominations

Four Nominations Across Key Industry Categories

Ripple Prime, Ripple's institutional prime brokerage arm, has been shortlisted for several awards at the Hedge Week US Awards 2026. CEO Mike Higgins announced the news publicly, confirming that Ripple Prime has been shortlisted for several "Prime Broker of the Year" recognitions, including Client Service, Specialist Markets, Start-up and Emerging Managers, and Technology. Higgins thanked clients and partners and confirmed that voting is now open, meaning the firm will need broader support to convert its nominations into wins.

Ripple was shortlisted in the "Prime broker of the year: Specialist Markets" category alongside Interactive Brokers and Mirae Asset Securities (USA). It was also shortlisted in the "Prime broker of the year: Start-up and Emerging Managers" and "Prime broker of the year: Technology" categories alongside Jones Trading, AGP Prime, and others.

A Business on the Rise

The nominations come at a strong moment for Ripple Prime. Ripple Prime is a major non-bank prime brokerage firm acquired by Ripple in 2025. The acquisition of Hidden Road created Ripple Prime, described as the first global, multi-asset prime brokerage owned by a crypto company. The platform enables OTC spot trading for dozens of major digital assets, including $XRP and Ripple's RLUSD stablecoin, as part of an integrated suite that also includes derivatives, swaps, fixed income, and foreign exchange products.

Operationally, the business has grown quickly since its launch. Since Ripple acquired Hidden Road and rebranded it as Ripple Prime in 2025, the platform's revenue has tripled year over year. In the second quarter of this year, Ripple Prime added new integrations with EDX Markets, Coinbase Derivatives, Hyperliquid, and Bullish, as well as a $200 million debt facility from Neuberger Berman. Higgins also noted a growth in clientele from crypto-native trading firms toward hedge funds, asset managers, pensions, and endowments, supported by increasing regulatory clarity under the GENIUS Act and the pending CLARITY Act.

The Hedge Week US Awards are voted on by participants within the hedge fund industry itself, making a shortlist across four categories a meaningful signal of how traditional finance peers view Ripple Prime's standing. Whether the nominations translate into wins will depend partly on industry votes now being cast.
