Ripple has announced a partnership for the XRP Ledger. The company is working with Privy, a Stripe-owned wallet infrastructure company, to bring embedded wallets to the XRP Ledger.

The integration allows developers to build payment experiences using XRP, RLUSD, and other digital assets directly into their products, without requiring users to manage their own private keys.

The XRP Ledger has grown to more than 8 million funded accounts and over $1 trillion in value moved. That scale gives the partnership a proven foundation to build on.

What Developers Get

The partnership expands what developers can build on XRPL. Through Privy, they can create and manage XRPL wallets programmatically, sign transactions, and build applications using XRP and RLUSD. Developers also gain the ability to enable x402 payments for agentic commerce, while still giving users ownership and portability through private key and seed phrase export.

Markus Infanger, SVP of RippleX at Ripple, described it as giving developers “a strong foundation to build financial products that can scale.” Henri Stern, Cofounder and CEO of Privy, said the company is “excited to make Privy wallets available to developers building on XRPL, from global payments to agentic commerce.”

Agentic Commerce Takes Center Stage

The agentic angle is significant. The integration enables programmable, server-side wallets. This lets AI agents hold funds and transact autonomously, including through x402 payments. Ripple confirmed that XRPL has already processed 13 million agent payments, which now account for roughly 25% of network activity.

Ripple’s own data shows agentic transactions grew from zero to 13 million in just a few months, a pace that few anticipated at the start of the year.

At XRP Seoul 2026 on October 3, Ripple President Monica Long projected that AI agent transactions on XRPL could climb from 10 million to 100 million. That target now looks achievable given the current trajectory.

Why Privy

Privy is not a niche player. As a Stripe company, it operates wallet infrastructure already trusted by major fintech applications. Bringing that infrastructure natively to XRPL removes one of the main friction points for developers who want to build on the ledger but lack the resources to build wallet management from scratch.

For payments companies and fintechs specifically, embedded wallets make stablecoin payments possible without placing the burden of key management on end users. That is a meaningful shift for consumer-facing applications built on XRPL.

The XRP Ledger has become a serious destination for AI-powered commerce. Privy has confirmed it will continue deepening the integration over time.
