Zach Rector, a well-known XRP advocate and content creator, recently returned from New York City after attending the 10th annual Ripple Swell Conference. Based on his experiences, Rector expressed his increased confidence in $XRP, emphasizing that institutional adoption of the asset is now unfolding rather than remaining a future prospect.

Swell opens to the entire XRP community

For the first time in Swell’s history, Ripple, the company behind the XRP Ledger and a leading enterprise blockchain solutions provider, extended an invitation to the entire XRP community. Previous editions of the event were largely limited to Ripple’s institutional partners. This year, however, the conference brought together XRP holders, ecosystem developers, traditional banks, and financial institutions, highlighting a growing alignment between the crypto and banking sectors.

Rector noted that this broader participation signals a significant evolution within the XRP ecosystem, showing concrete progress toward mainstream acceptance and involvement.

The Ripple Swell Conference demonstrated that institutional adoption is no longer theoretical. Industry players, including major banks and financial institutions, are engaging directly on the XRP Ledger, marking a pivotal step for the ecosystem.

Banking sector presence at Swell

Rector observed that the event felt more like a banking summit than a traditional crypto gathering, both this year and at Swell 2025. The presence of bankers and large institutions offered him firsthand insights into the digital assets and liquidity that these organizations are planning to integrate with the XRP Ledger.

He acknowledged that while institutional adoption may have arrived later than some initially predicted, banks and other large organizations are now actively present in the XRP space.

Ripple’s CEO affirms commitment to XRP

During the conference, Rector met with Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse. Garlinghouse reportedly reaffirmed Ripple’s dedication to XRP, dismissing any speculation about the company distancing itself from the asset. Garlinghouse described XRP as “the heartbeat of Ripple,” emphasizing that Ripple intends to both hold and actively use XRP as an integral part of its business operations.

Brad Garlinghouse made it clear to community members that Ripple recognizes the value of XRP and is focused on leveraging the ledger’s growing capabilities, reinforcing that XRP remains central to Ripple’s mission.

RLUSD and increasing on-chain liquidity

Rector drew a direct link between the new RLUSD stablecoin and XRP’s growth prospects. The rise of RLUSD, along with greater inflows of assets and liquidity onto the XRP Ledger, is generating fresh demand for XRP itself. He argued that increased on-chain activity results in higher demand for the native token. As a historical reference, Rector pointed to XRP’s price rally of over 600% following the November 2024 US election. Despite this precedent, he refrained from predicting a similar outcome in the current cycle, instead attributing his optimism to what he witnessed during Swell.

Outlook and personal conviction

Concluding his reflections on Swell, Rector stated his intention to buy any pullback in XRP’s price toward $1, stressing that this is his personal conviction rather than investment advice. He conveyed strong belief that the ecosystem is entering a historic phase, as banks are not merely observing developments on the XRP Ledger, but are actively building within it.
