Ripple Joins Water(.)org's Get Blue as Exclusive Digital Asset Partner

Ripple has signed on as the exclusive digital asset and payments partner for Water(.)org's Get Blue campaign. Through Ripple Payments and $RLUSD, Water(.)org can move funds faster and more cost-effectively to microfinance partners, supporting affordable loans for the water and sanitation solutions families need, according to the official campaign announcement.

Get Blue is a consumer-facing initiative co-founded by actor Matt Damon and engineer Gary White, built on the idea that corporate brands and everyday consumer actions can do more for the global water crisis than traditional charity. Ripple joins founding partners Amazon, Gap, Starbucks, and Ecolab in backing the campaign.

A Stablecoin With a Humanitarian Use Case

The scale of the problem is significant. Today, 2.1 billion people, nearly one in four worldwide, still lack access to safe water, while 3.4 billion lack access to safe sanitation. Water(.)org has already reached 85 million people with lasting access to safe water or sanitation, and is working toward an ambitious goal of 200 million people by 2030.

The Ripple partnership is not new ground. Water(.)org previously completed pilots of Ripple Payments in Brazil, Mexico, and Peru to send funds to microfinance partners, with plans to extend that infrastructure across Latin America and eventually into Africa and Asia. The model works through Water(.)org's WaterCredit solution, which helps families access small, affordable loans to connect safe water and sanitation at home. Get Blue is designed to mobilize additional capital through corporate brands and consumer activations, with a portion of proceeds flowing directly to those market-driven solutions.

For Ripple, the partnership represents another step in positioning $RLUSD as a practical tool for cross-border humanitarian funding, building on earlier collaborations with organizations including World Central Kitchen, GiveDirectly, and Mercy Corps.
