RLUSD Leads AI Agent Settlements Tracked by XRPL AI Hub
CryptoCompass editorial visual for markets coverage.

In Brief:

  • XRPL AI Hub records 7,306.63 RLUSD and 6,207.40 XRP settled, while different units prevent a direct comparison of dollar value.
  • Dollar pricing helps agents budget repeated API purchases, while the hub lists services accepting both RLUSD and XRP for payments.
  • Transaction counts show growing automated activity, but small payments and limited dashboard coverage leave broader XRP demand unclear across XRPL.

Ripple USD has taken the lead over XRP in the AI agent settlements tracked by XRPL AI Hub. The dashboard records 7,306.63 RLUSD settled across its tracked activity, alongside 6,207.40 XRP. Those figures use different units, so they cannot establish which asset accounts for greater dollar value.

According to XRPL AI Hub, its payment infrastructure has handled nearly eight million transactions, averaging more than 250,000 daily over seven days. The live feed includes small RLUSD payments to an AI inference service, where agents can pay for individual requests.

For developers, the choice of payment asset affects how they price services and control spending. An agent buying repeated API calls needs to check each charge against its available budget. Dollar-denominated RLUSD prices make that calculation more predictable than XRP prices, which can change with the market

However, the dashboard does not identify why each agent selected its payment asset. Its figures also cover payments tracked through the hub, rather than every transaction across the XRP Ledger. Those limits matter when assessing what the activity means for XRP demand.

RLUSD’s Dollar Peg Fits Services Priced Per Request

Ripple describes RLUSD as a stablecoin backed by cash and cash equivalents and redeemable one-to-one for U.S. dollars. The token runs on XRPL, where the hub supports payments in both RLUSD and XRP. Consequently, merchants can offer a dollar-based price without moving their service outside the ledger’s payment network.

The hub’s directory shows why small charges matter in this market. Several services list RLUSD prices for individual calls, including credit checks and screening tools. Others accept XRP, demonstrating that the native asset remains an option for agent payments.

Moreover, transaction counts alone cannot show how much value agents transfer through either asset. Thousands of tiny payments may produce substantial network activity while settling relatively modest sums. Comparing RLUSD and XRP therefore requires their values over the same period, expressed in a common currency.

XRPL AI Hub’s totals show RLUSD gaining a prominent role in the automated payments it tracks. XRP also remains available to agents and appears among services listed on the hub. The figures show how agents use this payment infrastructure, while leaving broader XRPL settlement trends unresolved.
