@RobinhoodCrypto is in talks to take an equity stake in @cryptocom and integrate the exchange's regulated yes-or-no event contracts directly into its retail brokerage platform. The deal, first reported by The Wall Street Journal, would add Crypto.com to a growing roster of contract suppliers already powering Robinhood's prediction hub.
Under the proposed terms, users would be able to place Crypto.com-sourced event contract bets through Robinhood's existing interface. The equity component signals a deeper alignment between the two companies. As Crypto Briefing noted, taking an ownership position in Crypto.com would give Robinhood financial exposure to the broader crypto infrastructure sector while also creating long-term strategic alignment.
A Market Moving Fast
Crypto.com is not a new entrant in this space. Its standalone prediction markets platform, OG, launched in February 2026 under CFTC registration. According to the company's own reported figures, weekly activity on OG grew roughly 40 times over in its first six months of operation.
For Robinhood, the timing reflects a broader push to diversify revenue. Prediction markets have quickly become its fastest-growing product line. Just one year after launch, more than 9 billion contracts had been traded by over 1 million customers, according to Robinhood's own newsroom. In 2026, the platform has already recorded over 16 billion event contracts traded, surpassing the 12 billion contracts traded across all of 2025.
Robinhood currently routes event contracts through Kalshi, ForecastEx, and Rothera, the CFTC-licensed exchange it runs as a joint venture with Susquehanna International Group. Adding Crypto.com would broaden that supplier base and reduce reliance on any single platform, particularly as Kalshi has begun describing Robinhood as a competitor rather than a partner.
It is worth noting that no final agreement has been reached. Robinhood told the Wall Street Journal it will continue partnering with multiple exchanges to ensure customers have access to a diverse and resilient marketplace, but declined to confirm deal specifics.
