Digital Asset Investor has presented another perspective on XRP’s long-term potential, this time pointing to what he believes is evidence that Russia has examined Ripple’s technology and XRP’s possible role in cross-border payments.

In a YouTube video, he connected past comments from Ripple Chief Technology Officer David Schwartz with a Russian document that references XRP.

During the video, the analyst revisited remarks previously made by David Schwartz about “walled gardens,” describing them as isolated financial systems that could eventually become interconnected. He explained that Schwartz’s analogy suggested institutions that initially prefer closed networks may later choose to connect with wider payment infrastructure once the necessary technology is in place.

Digital Asset Investor maintained that Ripple has spent years developing the infrastructure needed for that transition. He interpreted Schwartz’s comments as a reference to a future in which separate financial networks can lower their barriers and move value through XRP as a bridge asset.

Russian Document Mentions XRP

The analyst then shifted his focus to a document that he identified as originating from Russia. He said the publication examined the use of blockchain technology in both the global and Russian digital economy, adding that it contained specific references to XRP.

In the document, Digital Asset Investor highlighted a section stating that special attention had been given to the possibility of using XRP as a bridge currency for payments and a spam protection mechanism within the Ripple network. He suggested this indicates that Russian institutions have evaluated XRP beyond simple market speculation.

The analyst also pointed to individuals shown in images associated with the document, stating that he believes some of them may be Russian central bankers. He further suggested that one of the people pictured may have previously attended a meeting in Switzerland alongside Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse, as he presented this as his own recollection rather than a confirmed fact.

Based on the document’s references to XRP, Digital Asset Investor said it appears that Russia is paying attention to Ripple’s technology. He questioned why a major country would examine what he described as a relatively small company unless it saw meaningful potential in its payment infrastructure.

Digital Economy Growth Could Accelerate Adoption

The video also featured comments from macro investor Raoul Pal, who spoke about what he described as a coming “Cambrian explosion” across financial markets and the digital economy. Pal explained that future growth could be driven by new digital participants operating and communicating at speeds that exceed traditional expectations.

Digital Asset Investor included those remarks to support his broader view that digital assets and blockchain-based financial systems could expand much faster than many market participants anticipate.

By combining Ripple’s long-term strategy, the Russian document’s references to XRP, and Pal’s outlook for rapid digital adoption, the analyst presented a case that global interest in blockchain payment technology continues to develop and could influence the future role of XRP.
