The Paris-headquartered crypto market data provider Kaiko has secured a strategic investment extension led by [[LINK_START_0]]S&P Global[[LINK_END_0]], bringing its Series B financing to a total of $110 million.
The investment syndicate features prominent financial institutions and crypto firms: BNP Paribas, Bpifrance, Broadridge, Canton Foundation, Coinbase Ventures, DRW Venture Capital, Nasdaq Ventures, Royal Bank of Canada, Stellar, and Susquehanna Private Equity Investments.
According to Kaiko, the fresh capital will strengthen its digital asset data operations while accelerating the development of data infrastructure tailored for tokenized financial markets.
Beyond capital, the participating investors will become members of an industry working group led by Kaiko. This consortium aims to develop robust data standards and infrastructure frameworks for tokenized financial instruments.
Ambre Soubiran, CEO of Kaiko, highlighted that the investor coalition spans critical sectors including pricing mechanisms, trading infrastructure, capital markets, and blockchain technology development.
The firm initially raised $53 million during its Series B round in June 2022. Kaiko has not publicly revealed its post-money valuation from this extension round.
Aggressive Growth Through Strategic Acquisitions
Kaiko has pursued an aggressive expansion strategy to strengthen its institutional market position. The company acquired DeFi infrastructure specialist Cometh in May 2026, followed by the purchase of US-based digital asset data provider Amberdata in June 2026.
In February, Kaiko forged a partnership with Bloomberg to deliver licensed financial market data on blockchain networks. More recently this month, the firm launched the S&P Kaiko Digital Asset Indices in collaboration with S&P Dow Jones Indices.
Cathy Clay, CEO of S&P Dow Jones Indices, stated that this strategic investment demonstrates the firm’s strong belief in the long-term viability of digital asset markets.
Kaiko’s platform currently tracks data from over 150 cryptocurrency exchanges and blockchain protocols, serving institutional clients including platforms like Taurus.
Traditional Finance Accelerates Tokenization Initiatives
This funding round arrives as established financial institutions intensify their engagement with blockchain-based financial infrastructure.
In March, Intercontinental Exchange, the parent company of the New York Stock Exchange, announced a strategic agreement with Securitize to develop comprehensive infrastructure for tokenized securities.
During the same period, Nasdaq obtained Securities and Exchange Commission authorization to pilot a program for trading tokenized stocks and exchange-traded funds. Nasdaq also established a partnership with Payward, Kraken’s parent entity, to bridge regulated equity markets with blockchain-native tokenized equities.
In July, the Depository Trust and Clearing Corporation successfully executed production-level trades utilizing tokenized assets, collaborating with over 30 financial institutions. The organization plans to launch its comprehensive tokenization platform in October.
The SEC has scheduled a regulatory roundtable for September 17 to discuss preparations and frameworks for implementing 24-hour trading operations in US equity markets.
With its expanding roster of blue-chip institutional investors and strategic acquisitions, Kaiko is well-positioned to serve as a critical data infrastructure provider as traditional financial institutions deepen their involvement in blockchain-based capital markets.
