Securitize announced on October 8 that it had launched Securitize Stocks, offering eligible investors 1:1-backed security entitlements to 12 U.S. equities on Solana. The tokens settle in USDC and are designed to pass through applicable dividends and voting rights, though holders do not become registered shareholders unless they convert their entitlements.

Initial Solana stock offering

According to Securitize’s announcement, the initial roster comprises Apple, Microsoft, Nvidia, Alphabet, Tesla, Meta, Amazon, Netflix, Circle, SpaceX, Strategy and Palantir.

The launch puts the instruments on Solana from the outset, rather than presenting the tokens as a separate cryptocurrency linked only to equity prices. Securitize describes them as security entitlements backed 1:1, with USDC used for settlement.

Security entitlements and shareholder status

The structure distinguishes an entitlement from direct ownership: token holders are not the companies’ registered shareholders by default and must convert their entitlements to obtain registration.

Securitize said the tokens are issued under UCC Article 8, which is intended to preserve applicable economic benefits associated with the underlying equities. Those benefits include dividends and voting rights where applicable, so the arrangement provides specified shareholder-related benefits without automatically placing holders on the issuer’s shareholder register.

PropAMM liquidity and trading hours

Securitize’s Solana PropAMM is the initial trading venue, with Jump Trading supplying market-making liquidity during extended hours, The Block reported.

Securitize plans to move toward 24/7 availability. For now, however, the announced model is extended-hours trading rather than round-the-clock access.

Planned venue expansion

Securitize also said the tokenized stocks are expected to become available through planned digital venues operated by NYSE and OKXICE. That distribution is not yet assured: it remains subject to regulatory and operational requirements, according to CoinDesk.
