What to Know

  • Shiba Inu’s daily burn rate plunged 87.63% as only 1.38 million SHIB left circulation, reflecting weaker community burn activity overall.
  • Monthly data showed 3.47 billion SHIB burned while WoofSwap led contributors and Robinhood ranked second overall during the period reported.
  • Developer documentation expanded across Shibarium tools while declining open interest reflected softer derivatives participation amid mixed market conditions overall.

Shiba Inu’s daily token burn activity slowed significantly after only 1.38 million SHIB were removed from circulation during the past 24 hours. According to Shibburn, the lower burn volume pushed the daily burn rate down by 87.63%, reversing the strong increase recorded in the previous reporting period.

The latest burns were worth roughly $7 based on current market prices. Although community members continued sending SHIB to dead wallets, the reduced transaction volume resulted in one of the weakest daily burn totals recorded recently.

By comparison, the previous reporting period recorded 17.46 million SHIB burned. That total lifted the daily burn rate by 706%, highlighting how quickly burn activity can fluctuate between reporting cycles.

Monthly Burn Trend Remains Strong

Despite the daily decline, longer-term burn statistics continued to show stronger activity. During the past seven days, the community permanently removed 315.80 million SHIB from circulation. However, the weekly burn rate still declined by 69.94% compared with the previous week. The monthly figures presented a different picture. More than 3.47 billion SHIB were burned during the last 30 days, representing a 1,351% increase in the monthly burn rate.

WoofSwap remained the largest contributor during that period after sending more than 3.08 billion SHIB to dead wallets. Robinhood ranked second with over 154.31 million SHIB burned during the same timeframe. Overall, the community has permanently removed more than 410.84 trillion SHIB from Shiba Inu’s original one quadrillion token supply through 21,473 burn transactions.

Meanwhile, according to Shiba Inu ecosystem contributor Mazrael, developers expanded 18 documentation pages supporting ERC-4337 gasless transactions, the Payments API, hosted on-chain data endpoints, and the ShibaSwap SDK. He explained that these resources provide developers with additional tools for building consumer applications on Shibarium.

SHIB Price and Market Activity Ease

SHIB also traded lower during the reporting period as broader cryptocurrency markets delivered mixed performance. The token declined 3.35% over the last 24 hours while several leading digital assets posted limited price movements. Additionally, derivatives activity softened alongside the price decline. CoinGlass data showed Shiba Inu’s open interest fell 5.03% to $43.51 million, suggesting lower participation from leveraged traders.

Even so, development work within the ecosystem remained active despite weaker trading conditions. The expanded documentation supports developers building decentralized applications and payment services on Shibarium, reflecting ongoing infrastructure growth beyond daily market movements.

Conclusion

The latest Shiba Inu burn data reflects a sharp slowdown in daily token destruction, even as the broader monthly trend remains significantly stronger. At the same time, ecosystem development progressed through expanded technical resources, while softer derivatives activity mirrored the token’s weaker price performance.
