Solana’s network revenue topped $1 million on Aug. 19, its highest single-day total in the two weeks shown on Blockworks’ Network REV dashboard, which tracks transaction fees and out-of-protocol tips together.
Almost all of it came from one place. Priority fees made up roughly 61% of the day’s take, based on a direct reading of the dashboard’s chart. Jito’s tips, the cut MEV searchers pay to route transactions through Solana’s largest block-building service, accounted for about 13%.
A Teraswitch routing failure disrupted 102 staked validators, but Solana continued processing transactions and producing blocks.
Where the money actually came from
Network REV is made up of four pieces, and they don’t carry equal weight on a given day:
Priority fees: what users pay to jump ahead in line for block space during busy stretches.
Jito tips: fees paid to bundle transactions through Jito’s MEV infrastructure.
Base fees: the fixed per-transaction charge every Solana transaction pays.
Vote fees: fees generated by validators’ own voting transactions.
That split lines up with a separate number from Jito itself. Nine days earlier, on Aug. 10, Jito reported its own protocol revenue had fallen 45% as its newer BAM system expanded to about a third of Solana’s validator stake, a shift that reroutes more transaction flow away from Jito’s tip auction.

The two figures track different things, Jito’s own protocol revenue against its tip share of Solana’s network REV. But they point the same way: even on Solana’s best fee day in weeks, Jito’s slice stayed thin.
The “six-month high” label may not hold up

Solana’s own account framed Aug. 19 as the network’s highest revenue day in six months. That comparison rests on six months of Blockworks history this piece could not pull directly, since the dashboard’s full chart data loads client-side.
It also looks fragile. Solana is said to have posted $2.3 million in daily revenue two days later, on Aug. 21, its second-biggest day since September 2025, more than double the Aug. 19 total. If that holds up, whatever record Aug. 19 set did not last 48 hours.
