Recently, Solana was valued at $106.49, experiencing a slight drop of 0.19% over the last day. The price fluctuated between $104.64 and $110.17 within a day. Its market capitalization has reached approximately $62.17 billion, with a trading volume of $6.85 billion.

Key Technical Threshold Insights

Solana has recently surpassed the previously resistant $97 level, stabilizing above $100 after re-testing that zone. This breakout paves a more robust foundation for a potential upward trajectory in the short term. Its structure suggests a maintained bullish outlook if the price holds above this critical threshold.

“If the $97 level holds during pullbacks, the next significant target would be the $119 to $120 range,” stated Quinten Francois.

Francois highlights that between the current range and the $119-$120 target, structural resistance appears limited, suggesting an open pathway unless the price declines below $97, potentially weakening the short-term positive outlook.

Are Momentum Indicators Signaling New Expansion?

Yes, the breakout from a long consolidation around $79-$80, coupled with the RSI surpassing its resistance area, contributed to reinforcing momentum. Post-breakout, SOL experienced a near 40% rise, showcasing significant gains.

Trader Symba envisions a new expansion if Solana sustains above $105, possibly aiming toward $145-$150. However, with RSI’s upward trend, short-term pullbacks after abrupt rallies could be expected.

Solana’s network utilization metrics are under scrutiny alongside its technical setup. As reported by Solana, daily active addresses have reached 5 million. Renowned for its high-speed transaction capability and cost-effective infrastructure, Solana’s blockchain draws interest.

“The rise to 5 million daily active addresses indicates that the price movement is not just a short-term acquisition,” according to Solana’s update.

While increased network activity doesn’t guarantee a price boost, this synchronicity between heightened utilization and improved technical outlook suggests a more comprehensive recovery base.

Resistance Around the $110 Zone?

Indeed, a new supply seems to be emerging around the $108-$110 zone, suggesting potential resistance as sell orders accumulate here. After reaching $110.17, the price lost momentum, possibly explained by this emerging supply barrier. Conversely, buy walls exist between $100 and $102.

Currently, there is a tug-of-war between buyers defending the breakout and sellers liquidating near recent highs. A breakthrough past the $108-$110 zone could bolster the path to $120. However, failure to break resistance might prompt a re-test around the $102-$100 corridor.

  • Surpassing $120 could spotlight the $139-$140 region.
  • If sustained above $105, the $140-$150 range stands as a medium-term target.
  • A drop below $97 might indicate a waning momentum.

Should Solana succeed in breaching the $120 mark while maintaining the current structure above $105, the mid-range target between $140 and $150 remains in focus. Conversely, losing support at $97 could be the first substantial signal of diminished bullish momentum.
