Canary Capital pushes staked Injective ETF deeper into SEC review

@CanaryFunds filed a third S-1 amendment with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission on Thursday for its proposed staked $INJ exchange-traded fund. Shares would trade under the ticker INJS on Cboe BZX if approved. The fund is structured to give U.S. investors direct exposure to Injective while also capturing staking returns. According to the original copy, Canary plans to stake at least 90% of the fund's tokens, making staking rewards a primary rather than incidental feature of the product.

The proposed ETF aims to combine the potential price appreciation of Injective ($INJ) with the yield generated from staking the token. The filing identifies the CoinDesk Injective USD CCIXber 60m New York Rate as the fund's pricing benchmark.BitGo Trust Company Inc. is listed as custodian for the trust's INJ.

The registration statement does not authorize the ETF to launch or begin trading. A separate SEC review is required for Cboe BZX's proposed rule change to list the shares. The exchange's earlier application was withdrawn March 9, 2026, after the SEC instituted proceedings on the proposal in November 2025. Thursday's third amendment keeps the process moving, but regulatory clearance remains outstanding.

REX-Osprey extends staked SEI ETF timeline to October

REX Shares and Osprey Funds updated their SEI staking ETF filing with the SEC on September 28, 2026, setting October 23 as the effective date. The move is a procedural step the partnership has made repeatedly this year, rolling the effective date forward as the SEC continues its review. The product will provide exposure to $SEI and staking rewards, joining other crypto ETFs for NEAR, HYPE, SUI, and AVAX that REX-Osprey has been developing.

Together, the two filings highlight a broader push by asset managers to bring staking-enabled products to retail and institutional investors through regulated wrappers. Neither fund is cleared to trade yet, and both remain subject to further SEC action before any shares can be offered to the public.
