A Bipartisan Push for Pro-Crypto Lawmakers
The endorsees span the political spectrum. Republicans include Majority Whip Tom Emmer and Agriculture Committee Chair Glenn Thompson, while Democrats Ritchie Torres and Steven Horsford are also among those backed. According to Reuters, all 32 candidates voted to pass the Clarity Act out of the House last year, the crypto industry's primary legislative priority, which currently stalls in the Senate.
The Clarity Act, if enacted, would draw clearer jurisdictional lines between the SEC and CFTC over digital asset markets, providing the regulatory certainty that crypto companies have long sought.
Stand With Crypto grades candidates on their crypto records using public statements, voting history, and responses to its candidate questionnaire. The group says it has more than 3 million registered US advocates and aims to demonstrate that the crypto voter bloc can influence election outcomes, not just generate headlines.
Voter Hub and What Comes Next
Alongside the endorsements, the group launched its Voter Hub on Monday. The platform provides voter registration tools, candidate scorecards, and race tracking across all 2026 congressional contests. Scorecards assign each candidate a favorability rating based on their legislative record and policy positions on digital assets.
Senate endorsements and picks for non-incumbent races are expected to follow as the election draws closer.
The move builds on Stand With Crypto's 2024 cycle, its first active election year. Mason Lynaugh, the group's executive director, said the focus has shifted from proving the crypto voter exists to demonstrating organised turnout capacity. "In 2026 we're very much showing that we have the organizing capacity and that our advocates are a true voting bloc that can move the needle," Lynaugh told Reuters.
Coinbase founded Stand With Crypto in 2023 with the goal of mobilising retail investors around pro-crypto legislation. The group's strategy centres on voter outreach and grassroots mobilisation rather than large campaign donations.
