Decentralized trading platform XStable has partnered with Sui Network to bring precious metals and foreign exchange markets onchain, adding gold, silver, platinum, and FX pairs to Sui's growing DeFi ecosystem.
What the Integration Covers
The integration went live around September 8, with a formal announcement on September 10. It adds Sui Wallet connectivity along with USDC deposit and withdrawal support. XStable operates as a decentralized perpetual futures platform focused exclusively on real-world assets, using a central limit order book (CLOB) that mimics the order-matching mechanics of traditional exchanges rather than the automated market maker model most DeFi protocols use.
Currently in public beta, the platform supports perpetual contracts for gold (XAUUSD), silver (XAGUSD), platinum (XPTUSD), and palladium (XPDUSD). All settlements are handled in stablecoins, meaning traders gain exposure to commodity price movements without holding physical assets or managing custody.
A Multi-Chain Strategy Backed by Major Investors
XStable originally launched on Solana and is now expanding its reach rather than replacing its existing base. The move to Sui points to a broader multi-chain strategy aimed at reaching users wherever they hold assets. The platform has secured multi-million-dollar funding from backers including Amber Group, KuCoin Ventures, and YZi Labs, and was also selected for the Solana Solaris Accelerator 2026.
The market opportunity is substantial. Precious metals and FX markets together represent over $9 trillion in average daily trading volume globally. Traditionally, access to these markets has relied on centralized brokers, exposing users to custody risk, account freezes, and counterparty conflicts. XStable positions itself as a decentralized and transparent alternative. The platform has also signaled plans to expand into a broader set of FX pairs and potentially indices, with AI-native features hinted at for automated trading and intelligent order routing.
