Reset your wallet password by importing your mnemonic phrase or private key.

SuperEx Web3 Wallet is a non-custodial, decentralized multi-chain wallet that integrates a cross-chain token swap aggregator (DEX), an all-in-one on-chain investment tool (DeFi/Web3 Earn), a heterogeneous multi-chain aggregation trading platform (supporting Crypto, Ordinals, and NFT), and a DApp discovery feature.

Because the Web3 Wallet does not store your wallet password, it cannot help you retrieve it. You can reset your wallet password by re-importing your mnemonic phrase or private key. The procedure is as follows:

Step1:Open the Web3 Wallet and go to the Wallet Management page.

Step2:Tap the “+” button at the top right, then select “Import Wallet.”

Step3:Choose “Import via Mnemonic Phrase” or “Import via Private Key,” and follow the instructions to complete the process.

Friendly Reminder

Please be sure to back up your mnemonic phrase or private key. If you forget your wallet password without a backup, you will not be able to recover your assets. Anyone possessing your mnemonic phrase or private key can transfer your assets, so please keep them safe.

Other Matters:

Why can’t the Web3 Wallet platform help users retrieve their passwords?

The Web3 Wallet is a non-custodial, decentralized multi-chain wallet, which means the wallet is completely controlled by the user. The core philosophy of a decentralized wallet is that the user has full control over their funds and private keys, which means the platform does not have the ability to store passwords or private keys and thus cannot provide a password recovery function. When a user creates a wallet, they typically receive a set of mnemonic phrases or a private key; these are crucial for wallet recovery. If the user does not properly back up and secure these mnemonic phrases or private keys, once lost, the password cannot be recovered.

Why is it important to back up the Web3 Wallet mnemonic phrase and private key?

The mnemonic phrase and private key are key components in protecting and managing your digital assets. A mnemonic phrase is a short sequence of random words, usually containing 12 to 24 words, which serves as a backup for the wallet; if you lose your wallet or forget your access password, you can use the mnemonic phrase to restore your assets. Since the mnemonic phrase is derived from the private key, knowing it is equivalent to having full control of the wallet. The private key is a digital string associated with your digital assets that allows you to sign transactions and exercise control; whoever has the private key can execute transactions and transfer funds.

Why are mnemonic phrases and private keys so important?
  • Security: They are crucial for protecting your digital assets; only you knowing these details ensures control and access to your wallet and assets, which is essential for preventing theft and unauthorized access.
  • Recoverability: If you lose your wallet or forget your password, you can use the mnemonic phrase to restore your wallet. Without a backup, you may permanently lose control over your assets.
  • Control: The private key grants you absolute control over your digital assets. Without it, you cannot execute transactions or manage your wallet.Confidentiality: The private key must be kept strictly confidential; sharing it or the mnemonic phrase could result in asset theft, so exercise extreme caution.

In short, mnemonic phrases and private keys are essential for protecting, managing, and controlling your digital assets. You should safeguard this information carefully, do not share it with others, and ensure that only you have access to it.

Tips for backing up your mnemonic phrase and private key
  • Do not disclose your private key or mnemonic phrase to anyone; try to back up these data on physical media, such as writing them down on paper or storing them on offline hardware, and avoid saving or transmitting them on internet-connected devices, or taking screenshots or photos.
  • Do not import your private key into unknown third-party websites, and do not download or use wallet apps from unknown sources; if you detect any abnormalities, check your device for malware or trojans immediately.
