Janus Henderson is introducing the first licensed tokenized fund that tracks the Nasdaq-100 Index, built with @Centrifuge technology on the @StellarOrg blockchain. The fund will trade under the ticker $JQQQ.

What we know about JQQQ

The minimum investment is $100,000, and access is limited. Crypto Briefing reports that, for now, the fund is open only to eligible non-US professional investors. According to TechFlow, which cited The Block and The Wall Street Journal, the product is a licensed tokenized fund tracking the Nasdaq-100 and is initially restricted to qualified non-US professional investors.

The underlying exposure is the Nasdaq-100, which Crypto Briefing describes as an index of the 100 largest non-financial companies listed on the Nasdaq market.

Some details remain unclear. The Defiant reports that the minimum is set at 100,000 USDC and that Centrifuge's investment portal says subscriptions are not yet open. Separately, PANews, citing unfolded, notes that the fund has not yet disclosed its assets under management or trading volume. The same report says Nasdaq expanded the scope of its index licensing earlier in 2026.

Why it matters for Stellar and tokenization

JQQQ extends Janus Henderson's tokenization work into equity-index exposure. Crypto Briefing notes that the firm's best-known tokenized product to date is the Janus Henderson Anemoy Treasury Fund (JTRSY), a fund focused on Treasuries rather than stocks.

For Stellar, the launch places a recognisable Wall Street benchmark on its network. The same outlet says Stellar has long pitched itself as infrastructure for payments and regulated assets, and that a licensed Nasdaq-100 product fits that positioning. For Centrifuge, JQQQ adds an equity product to its real-world asset portfolio.

Janus Henderson already uses Centrifuge for other tokenized products. TokenPost reports that its tokenized AAA CLO fund operates on the platform and is available to eligible non-US professional investors, at an asset manager overseeing $500 billion.

With subscriptions not yet open and no figures on assets or trading activity, the fund's uptake among institutional investors is still to be tested.
