The memecoin launched by the author of the GTA 6 leaks has just lost 46% in 24 hours. CYBERLEEK had reached 25 million dollars in market capitalization thanks to nine days of unreleased game videos. Its creator finally sold 15.4 million tokens and recovered several hundred thousand dollars. A few hours later, Rockstar was to officially present new footage of GTA 6.
In brief
- CYBERLEEK lost about 46% in 24 hours.
- Its creator would have cashed more than 250,000 dollars in total.
- The token rose to 25 million dollars in market cap on August 23.
The CYBERLEEK crypto climbs thanks to GTA 6 leaks
The story starts with videos that Rockstar hadn’t yet published. Their author is gradually releasing them on the Internet with the name of his Solana memecoin directly embedded in the images. Solana memecoins already attract a huge number of traders despite frequent losses.
CYBERLEEK immediately benefits from the attention around GTA 6. The message accompanying some clips didn’t even hide the strategy: the higher the market cap rose, the more new leaks were supposed to arrive. The token eventually reached a 25 million dollar valuation on August 23.
Its price peaked at 0.0344 dollars. Tens of thousands of wallets bought in. Between 68,000 and 78,000 wallets still hold CYBERLEEK after the drop. Then the creator starts cashing out. The timing falls just before Rockstar’s first official gameplay presentation.

On-chain data first shows about 146,000 dollars recovered in wrapped SOL. The creator also had 15.4 million CYBERLEEK tokens from fees generated by the token’s activity.
He sells the entire lot. A single transaction brings him about 125,000 dollars in SOL. The total amount withdrawn would exceed 250,000 dollars according to an independent analysis conducted around the wallets involved. The funds were then distributed among four new addresses.
At least 91 SOL reportedly joined KuCoin. One detail matters here. The tokens sold did not come from the creator’s initial allocation, which would have been burned previously. They came from fees paid based on trading volume.
This mechanism exists on several memecoin launch platforms. Pump.fun actually modified its fee system after recognizing that the old incentives encouraged some bad behaviors. For CYBERLEEK, the market reaction was quick. The price falls to around 0.0097 dollars. The market cap returns to near 7 million.
Rockstar is now looking for the leaker
Take-Two, Rockstar Games’ parent company, is not watching the matter from afar. The company would be seeking to identify the person behind the videos and has apparently submitted legal requests to X, Microsoft, and Discord.
The on-chain trail could also provide some clues. Investigators following the transactions claim the initial funding traces back to a KuCoin account subject to KYC procedures. This could facilitate identifying the owner if authorities obtain the necessary information from the platform.
Rockstar has already described the leaks as a difficult situation for its teams. GTA 6 also represents sums far larger than CYBERLEEK. Take-Two forecasts between 8 and 8.2 billion dollars in net bookings for its 2027 fiscal year. Some analysts expect 45 million copies of the game sold during its launch window.
The memecoin benefited from this anticipation over nine days. The episode also recalls numerous cases where insiders sell tokens while retail investors buy. A lawsuit concerning Solana memecoins is already examining accusations of advantages granted to some insiders. CYBERLEEK had reached 25 million dollars. The creator cashed out. The token is now worth about 7 million.
