X Finance Bull has urged XRP holders to look beyond short-term price movements and examine the financial infrastructure being developed around tokenization, custody, settlement and institutional markets.

In a lengthy post on X, the crypto commentator connected recent regulatory developments in the United States with Ripple’s expanding financial services and the capabilities being developed on the XRP Ledger.

The post notes that the institutional market being built today could create a broader role for XRP and XRPL if tokenized assets become a larger part of global finance.

SEC Tokenization Priorities Draw Attention

X Finance Bull began by asking readers to consider what a large U.S. investment manager would require to enter tokenized finance. The post listed regulatory clarity, custody, brokerage, settlement, liquidity, financing, ownership records and controlled market access among the necessary components.

The commentator then connected those requirements to recent developments involving the SEC and Ripple.

According to the post, the SEC’s 2027 examination priorities place tokenization, clearing infrastructure and emerging financial technology within its oversight plans. X Finance Bull noted that this indicates tokenized finance is moving into the regular supervision of U.S. capital markets rather than remaining a niche area of digital assets.

The post also referenced the SEC’s March 17, 2026 interpretation, which it says identified XRP as an example of a digital commodity. X Finance Bull argued that this distinction allows XRP to exist as a digital commodity while tokenized securities remain subject to securities regulation.

Ripple’s Institutional Expansion

X Finance Bull then turned to Ripple’s growing presence across financial markets. The post cited Ripple Prime, formerly Hidden Road, and its regulated brokerage and clearing operations as examples of Ripple operating within established financial infrastructure.

The commentator also discussed Ripple’s relationships with institutions including DTCC, Standard Chartered, DriveWealth, CSD BR, Meritz Securities and Brevan Howard.

The post placed particular emphasis on tokenization. It cited DTCC’s work toward tokenized securities infrastructure and Ripple Prime’s participation in the DTCC Tokenization Service Industry Working Group.

X Finance Bull also pointed to CSD BR’s partnership involving the representation and verification of selected BTG Pactual investment-fund records on XRPL using the Multi-Purpose Token standard.

XRPL Features Could Support Regulated Markets

The commentator argued that XRPL contains several features that could support institutional applications. These include Credentials, Permissioned Domains, Permissioned DEX functionality, Multi-Purpose Tokens, Token Escrow, freeze and clawback controls, and the ledger’s permanent transaction history.

X Finance Bull said these capabilities address practical questions financial institutions must answer, including who can participate, who can transfer an asset and how ownership records can be verified.

The post also highlighted RLUSD and institutional custody developments involving Standard Chartered, as well as DriveWealth’s planned use of RLUSD for settlement on XRPL.

According to the commentator, these developments could place XRPL closer to actual brokerage, custody and settlement activity as tokenized financial products expand.

Liquidity Remains the Core XRP Thesis

X Finance Bull ultimately separated the broader Ripple and XRPL infrastructure discussion from the question of XRP’s own economic role.

The commentator acknowledged XRP’s transaction fees and reserve requirements but identified liquidity as the more important long-term factor. The post argued that as tokenized dollars, securities, funds, bonds and other assets enter digital markets, institutions could require efficient ways to move between different assets and currencies.

The post specifically referenced XRPL’s auto-bridging functionality and noted that XRP could become useful as an intermediary asset when it provides efficient execution between different markets.

X Finance Bull stressed that this thesis does not depend on every institution adopting XRP. Instead, the commentator said the key consideration is whether recurring institutional flows eventually create sustained demand for XRP liquidity.
