Crypto pundit John Squire (@TheCryptoSquire) posted a video showing a brief street encounter with a man who claims to have made a fortune in Bitcoin.
The man, standing next to a red Maybach, says he got into Bitcoin in 2013 and rode it through 2019. He told the person recording that XRP is his next conviction. “XRP’s gonna hit next,” he said.
Bitcoin opened 2013 at $13 and surpassed $1,000 later in the year. The years that followed brought heavy volatility, sharp crashes, and long recoveries. By mid-2019, Bitcoin climbed to a high of $12,576.
From $13 at the start of 2013 to that 2019 peak, Bitcoin gained approximately 96,700%. That is the window the man says he profited from. It is one of the most significant price runs any asset has produced in modern financial history.

XRP currently trades at $1.38. If XRP replicates Bitcoin’s 96,700% gain from that same period, the projected price lands at roughly $1,335. Many experts have predicted that XRP can reach $1,000. The investor in the video has seen a move of that magnitude play out in real time, and he is now publicly attaching his name to XRP as the asset he believes comes next.
Many in the community shared excitement at the video. One commenter called the car owner a visionary. Another said the man can see the same catalysts XRP enthusiasts can see right now. However, some were critical of the video. Squire said XRP would explode, but one commenter stated that the asset is exploding downward. XRP recently rose massively, but has retraced some of those gains. Some also suggested the car was not his.
The man in the video is not presenting himself as an analyst or an influencer. He is a private individual who got into Bitcoin early, held through years of turbulence, and built significant wealth doing it. That history is what makes his comment notable.
Squire, like many others, holds a strong bullish stance on XRP. Bitcoin already displayed verifiable results, and those who got in early are saying XRP is next.
