Crypto commentator Time Traveler has stirred debate in the XRP community after posting a message drawing a sharp line between early holders and those who have yet to buy in.
The X post describes a future where XRP trades at $1,000 per token, telling those who missed out on buying now that they will remain behind current holders even at that valuation.
“At $200 XRP, don’t ask for handouts. You’re already left behind until those of us who held are at $1000 XRP. And even then we will decide if you deserve a crumb,” Time Traveler wrote. The post added that skeptics had received repeated warnings to buy into XRP before prices climbed.
XRP currently trades near $1.40, according to data from Bybit and CoinGecko, putting the token roughly 700 times below the $1,000 threshold referenced in the post. Reaching that price would require a market capitalization north of $59 trillion given XRP’s circulating supply of more than 62 billion tokens, a figure that exceeds the combined value of Apple, Microsoft, and the broader U.S. equity market.
A Pattern of $1000 Predictions
Time Traveler is not the first XRP-focused commentator to invoke the four-digit price target. A previous post from the same account argued that when XRP hits $1,000, many who spent years fixated on price charts may not live to see the milestone, pairing the prediction with a message about wealth and purpose rather than pure financial gain.
Other figures in the space have floated similar numbers. A resurfaced Wall Street Journal chart showed a hypothetical XRP price of $1,046, alongside comparable four-digit projections for Litecoin.
Crypto commentator The Real Remi Relief has separately stated that $1,000 targets remain too conservative, pointing to the possibility that international bodies such as the IMF could eventually treat XRP as an electronic reserve asset.
Supply and Market Cap Constraints Remain
Despite the community enthusiasm behind such predictions, analysts continue to flag structural obstacles. Ripple releases roughly 1 billion XRP from escrow each month and relocks a portion of that supply, leaving several hundred million tokens entering circulation on a rolling basis. That dilution works against any scenario requiring sustained upward price pressure.
Mainstream price forecasts for XRP remain far more conservative than the figures circulating on social media. Forbes-referenced projections place XRP near $5.25 by 2030, while other analyst panels see the token reaching the $20 to $25 range under favorable conditions.
Whether the post reflects genuine price conviction or serves as a rallying message for existing holders, it has added to an ongoing pattern of $1,000 XRP commentary that resurfaces periodically within the community, regardless of where the token currently trades.
