Sei Network, the Layer 1 blockchain behind the $SEI token, has reported a sharp rise in activity across its tokenised asset ecosystem. Holders increased 24% and transfer volume climbed 206% over the past 30 days. The data was published by @SeiNetwork.
What the Sei Network data shows
The two figures point to wider participation as well as more movement of assets on the chain. The growth highlights rising participation in the network as major asset managers continue bringing traditional financial products onchain.Sei has said major asset managers are bringing their products onchain and suggested that adoption remains in its early stages.
Independent tracking points the same way. RWA.xyz, a registry for tokenised real-world assets, lists 2,481 RWA holders on Sei, up 23.25% from 30 days earlier, though the page does not carry a clear date and the figures may differ from those Sei published.
There are caveats. The reported figures do not establish how much activity comes directly from institutional investors. Percentage jumps in transfer volume can also look large when measured from a small base.
Institutional products and the Q4 outlook
Sei has been building its real-world asset (RWA) offering around funds from large managers. The network supports institutional investment products associated with six major asset managers, including BlackRock, Apollo, Brevan Howard, Hamilton Lane, Nomura's Laser Digital and Ondo Finance. The network provides the settlement infrastructure, while fund managers and specialised platforms handle product issuance, administration and investor eligibility.
Executives from the Sei Development Foundation have said the pitch rests on technical design. Their claim is that high-performance settlement and an EVM-native environment can make tokenised assets more composable, usable as building blocks for lending, borrowing and collateralised stablecoin structures.
Other onchain metrics have also been active. Sei's decentralised exchange volume reached $15.9 billion in cumulative terms on October 19, 2026.
Market reaction has been more muted. SEI traded near $0.060 on October 19, below roughly $0.0705 on October 11. Rising tokenised asset usage has not yet translated into a sustained price move, and access restrictions on some fund products may limit how much economic activity they generate. Whether the momentum continues through the fourth quarter will depend on whether holder growth and transfer volume hold up beyond a single 30-day window.
