Crypto analyst ChartNerd (@ChartNerdTA) posted an XRP chart that carries a bearish caption. He wrote, “XRP is still going to zero,” and the chart shows the asset struggling beneath a falling resistance line. It also shows a downward arrow suggesting a steep drop on the horizon.

The post uses a log-scale candlestick chart spanning from 2014 to a projected 2028. At first glance, the descending red trendlines and downward-pointing white arrow suggest XRP is heading lower. A closer reading of the chart reveals the opposite.

What the Chart Actually Shows

The chart is flipped. The price scale runs from low values at the top to high values at the bottom. This implies that the downward resistance is actually upward support. The analyst referenced a July chart when he claimed XRP was going to zero. That chart also had a flipped price scale, and this analysis suggests the pattern is still intact.

The red trendlines are support levels, not resistance. The green arrows mark successful tests of that support, not rejections from above. On the first trendline, spanning roughly 2013 to 2017, XRP tested support four times before breaking out massively in 2017. The price ran from fractions of a cent to more than $3 during that cycle.

The Current Setup

A second trendline appears to be repeating that structure. It begins around 2019 and extends toward 2027. XRP has already tested this support level five times. Each touch has held. The current price sits near $1.37. The white arrow on the chart points toward $7.50 on the inverted scale, suggesting that is the next target from this setup.

ChartNerd does not list an explicit price target in this post. The arrow’s trajectory on the inverted chart aligns with the $7.50 level. His previous analysis has set targets as high as $27. This suggests a potential rise ranging from 447.45% to 1,870.8% from current levels.

What’s Next for XRP?

The pattern ChartNerd presents compares the current cycle directly to the 2013-2017 structure. In that earlier cycle, four support tests preceded a major price expansion. The current cycle now has five confirmed support tests on the equivalent trendline.

The longer duration of the current structure, and the higher number of support tests, could signal a larger move when the breakout occurs. The chart projects that the breakout will develop through 2026 and into 2027.
