Trezor extends Stellar integration to Soroban contract tokens
@Trezor has updated its Trezor Suite app to support tokens built on Soroban, the @StellarOrg smart contract platform. The change means holders can now store Soroban-based contract tokens in self-custody on a Trezor hardware wallet, without relying on a third-party custodian.
The update is the latest step in a gradual expansion of Trezor's Stellar coverage. The wallet maker added support for stellar:native in June 2025, followed by Stellar's built-in classic tokens roughly six months later. Soroban contract token support now completes that progression.
On the technical side, the Trezor Suite pull requests show the update routes account state, fees, and Soroban reads through Stellar RPC, while Horizon continues to handle history and trustline discovery. Users can activate contract tokens manually by contract ID, and the transaction detail view decodes Soroban calls, showing the contract, function, and arguments alongside standard transaction data.
The addition gives Trezor users a way to hold a broader range of Stellar-based assets in cold storage as the Soroban ecosystem continues to grow.
