The MSTR stock price trades at $128.18 after Strategy disclosed a Bitcoin purchase funded through its equity program. Strategy acquired 4,603 BTC for $369.7 million between August 24 and August 30.
The transaction increased its Bitcoin holdings, while the company also repurchased STRC and expanded its cash account. Meanwhile, Strategy stock gained $0.87 during a volatile session.
Strategy Stock Sales Fund Bitcoin and STRC Purchases
Strategy paid an average price of $80,318 for the acquired Bitcoin. Now, the company holds 845,050 BTC bought for $63.73 billion. Its average acquisition price stands at $75,412 per Bitcoin.
Notably, Strategy financed the transaction using proceeds from MSTR stock sales under its at-the-market program. The company allocated $369.7 million in net proceeds toward the Bitcoin purchase. This allocation matched the reported acquisition cost.
Meanwhile, Strategy directed another $50.7 million from MSTR sales toward dividends on STRC preferred stock. It also used $151.8 million to repurchase STRC through its Digital Credit Securities Repurchase Program. The company also added $30 million to its USD cash liquidity account.
Afterward, Strategy still has $364.8 million available for preferred stock purchases under that program. The company retains $1 billion for MSTR share repurchases. Strategy announced both repurchase programs on June 29, 2026.
Analysts Track Strategy Bitcoin Sales and Cash Use
Meanwhile, Lookonchain compared the latest purchase with Strategy’s Bitcoin transactions during the previous two months. The analytics platform reported sales of 6,916 BTC for $429.35 million. Those sales carried an average price of $62,081 per Bitcoin.

Lookonchain then compared those sales with the 4,603 BTC purchase at $80,318. Based on that comparison, the platform calculated an $84 million loss for the firm. The figures involve different Bitcoin quantities, although Lookonchain presented the result as one trading comparison.
Separately, Daan Crypto Trades expected Strategy to raise additional funds through its ATM program. He noted that earlier issuance created a USD Cash section exceeding $1.5 billion.
He expected Strategy to divide new proceeds between Bitcoin purchases and additional cash. He preferred Strategy to preserve cash for a market decline.
Daan viewed combined Bitcoin and cash allocations as a funding signal. Moreover, he viewed a pause in USD Reserve additions as a possible return to active Bitcoin buying. Strategy had previously increased that reserve to $5.1 billion.
He also considered whether $100 million could fund STRC purchases while leaving the reserve near $5 billion. He expected STRC to recover its final $3 gap. The disclosure later showed a larger STRC allocation than Daan’s estimate.
Daan also noted Bitcoin’s largest weekly candle in more than three years occurred without a Strategy purchase. Therefore, he said Saylor’s buying did not drive that weekly market move. He added that earlier sales could reduce the market pressure investors attributed to Strategy.
MSTR Stock Price Tests Support While Bitcoin Rebounds
The MSTR stock price gained 0.68% but moved sharply in both directions during the session. Shares climbed above $130 before reversing below the $127.31 level. Buyers then pushed the MSTR stock price back toward $128.30.

Notably, holding $127.31 keeps the $130 level within reach. A break below that support could return selling pressure. Therefore, the MSTR stock price now trades between a defined intraday floor and nearby resistance.
However, the price levels discussed in this article are based on technical analysis and are not guaranteed to reflect future market performance. Cryptocurrency markets are highly volatile, and readers should conduct their own research or consult a qualified financial professional before making investment decisions.
Meanwhile, Bitcoin trades at $78,596.10 after declining 0.23% during the past 24 hours. The asset recovered from roughly $77,400 after early buying failed above $79,000. Rebounds between $77,500 and $78,000 showed demand before the latest move toward $78,550.
A break above $78,900 to $79,000 could extend Bitcoin’s recovery. Conversely, losing $78,000 would return attention to $77,500.
