The XRP community is no stranger to bold predictions. Influencers have repeatedly set eye-catching price targets, and their audiences have followed closely. Against that backdrop, Susan Anderson (@Susan223331) posted a candid warning to anyone considering buying XRP.

She described the hype circulating online as “the same type of BS they’ve been saying for years.” She told prospective buyers not to expect a 5x, 10x, or 100x return anytime soon. She added that buyers risk “waiting for years and years listening to the same hype until you literally go numb to it.”

She presented her post as “a drop of honesty in a sea of BS hype,” noting she has been holding and stacking XRP for years herself.

The Predictions Keep Coming

Anderson’s warning is notable as these bold predictions have become common in XRP circles. Jake Claver, a prominent figure in the XRP space, set a $750 price target for XRP in 2025. The target did not come close to materializing. XRP peaked at $3.65 during that period.

Claver has now set the same $750 target for 2026, despite XRP currently trading at $1.32. Other voices in the space have gone even higher, with some predictions reaching into the thousands. These targets have continued circulating on social platforms despite consistent failure to materialize.

How the Community Responded

Reactions to Anderson’s post covered a wide range. Some agreed with her assessment. One commenter said he was already numb to what he called “paid grifters.” Another said he had gone numb entirely.

Others pushed back. One pointed out that buying XRP at $0.30 and watching it reach above $3.60 was a real return. He questioned whether that counted as hype. Another suggested Anderson was unhappy because she missed the last 5x return.

Some questioned her credibility on equal footing with the influencers she criticized. One commenter said her opinion carried the same validity as those she was calling out, arguing it was all unverifiable. Another asked what evidence she had that made her right and the influencers wrong.

A Pattern That Keeps Repeating

Anderson is not alone in raising these concerns. Analysts and commentators have consistently pushed back on extreme XRP price targets throughout 2026. Crypto commentator Dominus stated in March that XRP reaching $50 or $500 in 2026 was not grounded in market reality.

KepMatrix argued in October that $100 or $1,000 targets hold no basis if XRP cannot first reach $10. The cycle of bold predictions and skeptical responses has become a consistent feature of XRP discourse in 2026, and Anderson is the latest to call out these predictions.
