MoonPay Responds to Ongoing Mockery Directed at XRP

What Does the WisdomTree-MoonPay Partnership Do?

WisdomTree and MoonPay are partnering to expand U.S. investor access to a tokenized Treasury money market fund while connecting the product to MoonPay's growing stablecoin infrastructure. WisdomTree is using MoonPay's technology to develop an access point for the WisdomTree Treasury Money Market Digital Fund, known as WTGXX. The tokenized money market mutual fund seeks to maintain a $1 share price while providing exposure to short-term U.S. government securities and other eligible money market instruments. The arrangement could put WTGXX in front of MoonPay's network of more than 35 million accounts, giving WisdomTree another distribution channel for a product already among the largest tokenized Treasury funds. The partnership also goes beyond distribution. MoonPay plans to incorporate WTGXX into its stablecoin reserve management stack, linking a regulated tokenized investment fund with infrastructure used to back dollar-denominated digital assets. MoonPay launched its enterprise stablecoin business in November 2025. The company issues dollar-denominated stablecoins across several blockchains, backed by U.S. dollars and other high-quality liquid assets maintained in segregated accounts.

Why Would a Stablecoin Issuer Use Tokenized Treasuries?

Stablecoin issuers need liquid reserve assets capable of supporting redemptions while preserving the value of tokens designed to trade at $1. Short-term U.S. government debt has become one of the most important reserve assets in the sector because it combines liquidity with yield. Tokenized Treasury funds add another feature: the underlying investment can exist directly on blockchain-based infrastructure rather than requiring every movement between cash, securities and digital assets to pass through traditional systems. For MoonPay, using WTGXX within its reserve management infrastructure could provide access to Treasury exposure in a form designed for digital asset operations. For WisdomTree, the arrangement expands the potential use of its tokenized fund beyond investors simply holding it as a standalone investment. The companies said the collaboration could eventually include additional tokenized funds and expand beyond the U.S. market. WisdomTree currently manages approximately $176.7 billion in assets across its broader investment business.

Investor Takeaway

The partnership shows tokenized Treasury funds moving beyond investment products and into financial infrastructure. If stablecoin issuers increasingly use regulated tokenized funds for reserve management, Treasury tokenization could grow alongside stablecoin issuance rather than as a separate market.

How Large Is the Tokenized Treasury Market?

The tokenized U.S. Treasury market stood at approximately $15.4 billion on Thursday, according to market data, with WTGXX accounting for about $1.23 billion. That gives WisdomTree a meaningful share of a sector that has expanded as asset managers, crypto companies and institutional investors increasingly move traditional yield-bearing assets onto blockchain networks. WTGXX has also recorded substantial recent inflows. The fund generated approximately $466 million of net flows during the past 30 days, measured as the difference between tokens minted and tokens burned. Among major tokenized Treasury products, the Ondo U.S. Dollar Yield fund was the only other fund to post positive net flows over the same period, with approximately $66 million. The difference illustrates how quickly assets can concentrate in individual products when they gain new distribution channels or institutional uses. MoonPay's network could provide another source of demand if WTGXX becomes embedded in reserve operations as well as investor portfolios.

Why Does This Matter for Stablecoin Competition?

The deal brings two rapidly developing parts of digital finance closer together: tokenized government securities and stablecoins. Stablecoin issuers increasingly compete not only on distribution and blockchain availability but also on how reserves are structured, held and managed. Products backed by transparent, liquid assets can be easier to integrate with institutions operating under stricter risk and compliance standards. At the same time, asset managers are looking for uses that can turn tokenized funds from digital versions of conventional products into components of blockchain-based financial infrastructure. That makes reserve management a potentially important source of demand. A tokenized Treasury fund used by stablecoin issuers could benefit from growth in stablecoin circulation, while issuers gain access to yield-bearing government debt through infrastructure designed to interact with digital assets. For WisdomTree, the MoonPay partnership therefore offers more than another route for investors to buy WTGXX. It creates a potential bridge between its tokenized asset-management business and the balance sheets supporting dollar-based digital currencies.
