World, the network formerly known as Worldcoin, began rolling out World Money, a self-custody financial super app, across more than 150 countries on September 17, according to an announcement on its official blog. The app brings stablecoin balances, cross-border payments, investing, rewards and Mini Apps into a single wallet, arriving in a year when the project’s network activity climbed to 2026 highs.

Stablecoins, Payments and Yield in One Wallet

World Money is positioned as a home for everything financial. Its home screen surfaces a stablecoin balance, and the app supports balances across eight currencies so users can get paid, hold digital assets in a currency they trust and put them to work. Where available, funds can be directed into a personal virtual account powered by Bridge. An Earn tab lets users deposit eligible assets, including Worldcoin (WLD) and stablecoins, into programs powered by Morpho to accrue rewards, while a Trade tab offers buying and selling across real-world assets such as gold and established tokens. The app also bundles portfolio tracking, detailed transaction history and price alerts, and surfaces Mini Apps such as Kalshi and Credit for discovery.

Stripe Funding and the World ID Advantage

Getting funds into a self-custody wallet has historically been cumbersome, so World Money makes Stripe the default way to add funds, beginning in the United States. With Apple Pay, users can convert everyday money into stablecoins that typically land in their account within minutes. World frames the arrangement as part of a deepening partnership that runs across the rails moving assets in and out of the app around the world. The app also ties into World ID, the network’s human-verification system: users verified at an Orb unlock boosted rewards in Earn, and existing World App or World ID App users carry their credentials over automatically.

A Super App for the Real Human Network

The launch positions World Money as the consumer-facing layer of the World Network, which has spent years expanding its verification services and app usage around the globe. World argues that as AI makes fake accounts cheaper to produce, a network of verified humans becomes what money rails cannot fake, and verified humans are first in line as new features roll out. The app is offered by Tools for Humanity, and features and asset availability vary by jurisdiction. World Money is not a bank, and stablecoin balances are not FDIC-insured deposits.
