Worldcoin ($WLD) posted the biggest daily gain among the top 100 cryptocurrencies, rising about 15% over the past 24 hours to around $0.58, from roughly $0.51.
Trading volume nearly doubled to about $599M. That is more than a quarter of the token's $2.21B market value, a sign that the move came with heavy participation rather than thin trading.
A flat week turns into a breakout
The token of @worldnetwork had been roughly flat for the week before today's move, leaving it up about 12% over seven days. It now ranks No. 40 by market capitalisation.
The jump extends a rebound that began in recent sessions. CryptoTicker reported that WLD gained 7.7% to $0.507 on October 19, after World presented an identity package for banks and financial service providers at the Money20/20 conference in Las Vegas. According to the same report, the package bundles three existing products: the World ID App, World ID for Zoom and World ID for Agents.
The same report noted that a paying bank client and a price for the package were still missing, and that World ID credentials work without the WLD token. That leaves the link between the product news and the token's price action open to debate.
Context: a volatile recovery
WLD has been choppy in recent weeks. Brave New Coin said the token remains well below its March 2024 all-time high of $11.82 but has recovered substantially from a May 2026 low of $0.2279. The same piece described a breakout from a multi-month descending channel in early October, with the $0.72 area flagged as the next resistance zone.
Resistance near $0.61 has also capped earlier rebounds, according to CoinMarketCap's Worldcoin update page, which pointed to overhead liquidation clusters between $0.58 and $0.63. With WLD now trading near the lower edge of that band, traders will be watching whether the higher volume can carry the price through it.
