How Was the Attack Executed?

The misleading claim emerged from a hijacked verified X account, purportedly known to belong to Arlington ISD. The attackers employed official Xaman imagery to announce a token claim for XMN on the XRPL network, leading unsuspecting users to a fabricated allocation site. This strategy to impersonate well-established entities or leverage verification marks is becoming a common tactic in crypto-related phishing scams.
