Spot XRP exchange-traded funds returned to positive territory on Aug. 6, recording $3.45 million in net inflows after suffering their first net outflows in four weeks the previous session. The reversal follows $3.58 million in exits on Aug. 5, which had briefly interrupted what had been a steady run of positive flows into the funds.
Bitwise and Franklin Templeton Lead the Recovery
Bitwise's XRP ETF accounted for the bulk of the rebound, drawing $2.89 million on the day. Franklin Templeton's $XRPZ added a further $561,560, bringing the two issuers together to account for the entire day's net inflow.
As of July 2026, six US spot XRP ETFs hold XRP directly: Canary Capital (XRPC), Bitwise (XRP), Franklin Templeton (XRPZ), Grayscale (GXRP), 21Shares (TOXR), and REX-Osprey (XRPR).Combined, the spot funds hold around $1.1 billion in assets.
Franklin Templeton launched its XRP ETF, the Franklin XRP Trust (XRPZ), on NYSE Arca, giving investors regulated access to the XRP token. The ETF structure lets institutional and retail investors gain XRP exposure through brokerage accounts, with daily pricing and SEC oversight.
Broader Context: Slowing but Steady
XRP-backed ETFs pulled in $27.29 million in July, marking a fourth straight month of net inflows, even as the token itself traded near $1.08, down roughly 40% since the start of the year.
Inflows ran $81.59 million in April, $131.94 million in May, $59.46 million in June, and $27.29 million in July, showing the pace has cooled even as the streak holds. The single-day outflow on Aug. 5 was therefore notable as the first crack in that run, making the immediate recovery on Aug. 6 a closely watched signal for sentiment heading into the rest of the month.
Spot XRP ETFs recorded zero flows on 11 of July's 22 trading days, taking in just $27.29 million for the entire month, according to SoSoValue data, against the $666 million the same vehicles gathered in their first month of trading in November 2025. That trajectory underlines how quickly the initial launch momentum has faded, even as the products retain a loyal base of institutional buyers.
