In Brief:

  • U.S. spot XRP ETFs recorded $18.04 million in inflows despite XRP’s price decline, with Bitwise and Franklin accounting for purchases.
  • Cumulative net inflows reached $1.748 billion, while separate asset trackers reported different totals for the U.S. XRP fund market.
  • XRP Insights counted roughly 1.15 billion XRP in holdings, while falling token prices could still reduce assets despite investor inflows.

U.S. spot XRP ETFs recorded $18.04 million in net inflows on September 23 despite a roughly 6% decline in XRP’s price. According to XRP insights, Bitwise received $11.54 million, while Franklin Templeton recorded $6.50 million.

Together, the two funds accounted for the entire reported daily inflow, even as XRP lost value. Bitwise’s cumulative net inflows reached approximately $649 million, while Franklin’s rose to about $492 million.

Across U.S. spot XRP funds, cumulative net inflows reached approximately $1.748 billion on September 23 as buyers added exposure despite XRP’s decline. However, daily inflows reveal neither investors’ reasons nor their holding plans, and falling XRP prices could still reduce the funds’ total assets.

Different Asset Totals Cloud the Path to $2 Billion

The reported inflows have renewed interest in whether XRP funds will reach $2 billion in assets under management, although trackers disagree on the current total. Reports citing SoSoValue placed the funds’ total net assets near $1.65 billion on September 23, a measure distinct from cumulative net inflows across trading sessions.

XRP Insights, meanwhile, displayed approximately $1.77 billion in combined assets across seven products on its live dashboard. It also reported holdings near 1.15 billion XRP, representing roughly 1.15% of the token’s 100 billion supply. XRP Insights includes a Bitwise index fund with only a partial XRP allocation, affecting comparisons with totals for dedicated spot XRP funds.

Moreover, assets under management reflect market value and can decrease when XRP falls, even alongside positive net inflows. A further rise in fund assets therefore depends on both investment flows and the value of XRP holdings.

The September 23 figures establish a clear contrast between fund purchases and XRP’s price decline. Whether the funds reach $2 billion depends on subsequent flows, XRP’s price, and which products the calculation includes.
