XRP Holds $1.38 While $1.86 Resistance Remains in Focus
CryptoCompass editorial visual for markets coverage.
  • XRP holds near $1.38 as 3.2B tokens traded in the support zone, making it crucial for the next move.
  • Resistance levels at $1.60, $1.68 and $1.86 could limit XRP gains unless buyers regain strong momentum.
  • A break above $1.45-$1.47 may target $1.50, while losing $1.38 could expose stronger support near $1.35.

XRP is testing a major support zone after a 20% correction from its recent high, according to analyst Ali Charts. The token rallied 71.8% from $0.988 to $1.698 before falling toward the $1.35-$1.38 area. Ali Charts identified roughly 3.2 billion XRP traded there, making the zone central to the current price setup.

XRP Tests Heavy Demand Near $1.38

The XRP/USDT one-hour setup shows price around $1.39, with the latest candle down 0.28%. Price remains range-bound with a mildly bearish bias after rejecting the $1.65-$1.67 region. Since that rejection, XRP formed lower highs before reaching the $1.37-$1.38 area.

However, buyers later pushed the token toward $1.46-$1.47 around Aug. 27-28. That rebound failed to produce a sustained breakout, and sellers returned as XRP moved back toward $1.39. The immediate support sits around $1.38-$1.39, while stronger support appears at $1.35-$1.36.

Resistance Levels Stack Above XRP

Ali Charts listed $1.60 as the first resistance, with 1.99 billion XRP previously traded there. Next comes $1.68, where about 1.98 billion XRP changed hands. Above that level, $1.86 carries the largest listed resistance volume at 3.47 billion XRP.

A move above $1.86 would put $2.19 on the radar, where 3.12 billion XRP were previously traded. Meanwhile, the technical indicators show limited short-term strength. The RSI is at 53.65, above its 51.69 average, keeping momentum slightly positive without reaching overbought territory.

XRP Momentum Shows a Mixed Setup

The MACD also records a small improvement, with its histogram at 0.0010. The MACD line sits at 0.0008, while the signal line remains at -0.0002. Those readings show improving momentum, although the small values point to limited strength.

Therefore, XRP remains near $1.40 while traders watch the nearby support and resistance levels. A break above $1.45-$1.47 could open the path toward $1.50. However, a move below $1.38 could expose the $1.35 support area.
